"Home" Button
In case anyone decided, as I did, that they wanted their site set up in such a way that the main page displays your new posts and is also designated by a "Home" button in the menu, follow these steps:
Go to Appearance > Menus
Find where it says "Custom Link"
In the drop-down, type the URL to your main page, and type "Home" in the "Link Text" box
Add to menu and save menu
