Happy New Year to all of the family here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Well we are into our second day of the New Year and I have big goals both personally and for my website. I wanted to share these with you as I want to be accountable for myself and if I've told others then I will be. These are just a quick overview of what I am going to do, the actual goals are more in-depth on my spreadsheet.

Personal:

I will lose 46kg in 2018 by increasing my fitness levels and working on my nutrition to include more whole foods and less processed foods.

I will save a minimum of $281 per month into a bank account for our holiday this year. I will also not spend any $1, $2, or $5 coins/notes but will instead put them in a savings tin for our holiday.

I will declutter my home by holding a garage sale for all the items I have already identified as not being required. I will also work on a principal of one new item into the home, two old items to be removed.

I will read 100 books over the year - these will be both books for pleasure as well as books for my niche to write reviews.

My genealogical goals include finding places my ancestor's lived, purchasing certificates (reward for weight loss) to find more accurate locations for ancestors, and researching about specific ancestors to write blog posts.

I will organise the accommodation and activities for our trip to the UK and have all possible things paid for prior to leaving. This will include specific locations identified in my genealogical research. I will create a spreadsheet to list where we are going, costings, activities we wish to undertake, organisation like packing items.

Website:

I will write a minimum of 2 review posts and 8 keyword posts every month. I will be three weeks ahead on content so that I always have content to post.

I will stay in the top 100 at WA by helping others and working hard on my website.

I will monitor and post/share relevant content to Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Google+ three times per day.

I will monitor Google and Affiliate Statistics to see what clicks etc. I am achieving with a focus on increasing this through sharing to social media and writing quality content.

I will develop a blog calendar so I always know what content I need to write. I will do this by in-depth research into keywords.

Three of my personal goals also work into my website goals:

Reading relevant niche books.
Genealogical - researching specific ancestors/locations to write blog posts.
UK Trip - I will be writing blog posts about the places we visit during our trip.

So I have a number of goals to work towards this year. I have broken these specific goals into monthly, weekly, and daily goals. I have a spreadsheet I have spent the past couple of days developing to keep me focused on these goals.
