I have a number of images I use on my site. I have them spread over the site. I have used some more than once. Will Google mark me down even if I use different alt tags?

Should not be a problem. I also use some pictures on my site multiple times and like you said have different tags that are relative to each post.

I wouldn't worry about reusing pictures, but Google doesn't like duplicate content so make sure not to be reusing any type of text.

Should be good with pictures though!

I don't think so. Google is interested in quality content and as far as I know Images are more of a decoration. I do the same thing on my site and I haven't seen any problems with it yet.

I am not sure but I don't think they will.

I can't imagine why. Have you noticed a difference in your site's rankings or traffic?

Using the same image on different pages should not be a bad thing. Of course, always use the alt tags (which I assume you are). I just wouldn't spam images everywhere. One main post image plus an image for each section (or every other), with around a couple hundred words each should be enough.

Sometimes you need more images--like a mini gallery--to explore a topic or product. I'm sure that's fine. I haven't really researched the issue, but I have yet to hear anything about Google penalizing sites using images.

(Unless they're copyright-protected and you're freely using them in excess...but I don't think that's an automated feature built-in to Google's algorithms.)

Please let us know if you find anything solid.

I dont thinks so, your site logo (if you have one) or header image are going to appear on every page anyway, so I dont think it matters, it would be interesting to see what others think

I thought it would be useful to have demographic information to identify those who are most likely to sign up and remain members? I would guess that the age range would be 35-45 wi

Sorry I am a bit late to jump in, but if you would like to know that I'd Private Message Kyle and see if he has any. I know it isn't listed publicly here on WA, but if he has some he might be interested in sharing with you!

Hope this helps

Thanks, Mate

Nothing available that I know of.

I hear a lot about the Genesis theme for WP. Is it a theme that we use to build a WP site on WA. If so, is it available?

Like Jay said it is a paid theme, just wanted to chime in on paid themes. At first I'd start with a free theme and if you find one you really like you can get the paid version that unlocks some more features.

But I wouldn't purchase a paid theme without trying it out first.

Thanks for this. Sorry for the delay in acknowledging your reply. I did not realise that you had been good enough to take the trouble.

Hi David,

The Genesis suite of themes is not available on WA because it is a premium theme in which you have to purchase.

There are a plethora of free alternatives available here at WA.

Thanks. I agree that there is more than enough to keep me going. Sorry for the delay in responding.

Did you add your FB ID and Password?
