Keyword crossroads episode 1

Feel like its been a long time since i have contributed on the site and its only been like 2 days?? lol

Put simply i am at a crossroads right now...
I have sorted in my head on how my site is going to look
I have the pages sorted
I know what to do once i get cracking
All thats left to do is pick my MAIN keyword!!!

For people here who have picked a domain name like "howtocreatewebsitesfree.com" or learntocode.com .... then its easier to get going as you have already chosen your main keyword and all you should be doing now is building on from there.

For people like myself who have chosen "createitownit" or "boohoo.com"... we have yet to actually choose our main keyword... Yes im promoting WA on createitownit so i know im in the internet marketing niche per se... but i still get to choose exactly the direction i want to take with my site and not tied to the domain name

So im really taking some time over my overall plan with the site, i dont just want to start blogging etc just for the sake of it.... we should all understand where our next post is coming from because we will have planned out a short time into the future.

A NOTE ON THE TWO DIFFERENT DOMAINS

You do not have to pick "howtodeliceyourmonkey.com" for your domain name..... EMDs (exact match domain) only give you roughly 1 bonus point for using them so dont stress too much.

Vice versa for the catchy "monkeyseemonkeydo.com" dont stress you dont have EMD as you are not losing a great deal at all to the one above.

I also see two sides to the coin on the (fake) domains i mentioned above...

"howtodeliceyourmonkey.com"...... yes people who have that EXACT issue are going to choose you first...but anyone interested in more overall wellbeing and health of their pet monkey might feel more inclined to click "monkeyseemonkeydo.com" because it inspires curiosity and its more memorable, funny and people are more inclined to share....so it does beat the EMD in my eyes.........
however.... the EMD does give the author and readers a super focused view of things which makes life easier for everyone so it scores good points for that too.

The catchy name im using can lead to a mishmash type website leaving the author and readers a little baffled on the whole intention of the site... which is the reason im taking my time before putting pen to paper ;)

The choice is in your hands, i leave it to you.


We should all remember that we have an opportunity every time we look to connect online especially to total strangers, an opportunity to imprint our image into them so they will come back or maybe tell a friend about us.
