Getting Schooled-How I'm Doing So Far

I joined WA in June and started like gangbusters. I was enthusiastic, excited, ignorant and impatient. (Sidebar: Ignorance and impatience--not a good combination) I created a website straight out the gate only to discover as I learned more from the courses and lessons that my website wasn't going to be able to perform well. I scrapped the website. And instead of immediately going into website creation mode, I ceased working on my WA project. I realized that if this venture was to be successful I would need to become a better student and have a better attitude and mindset. I needed to learn to discipline my mind more and to gain strength by learning from the WA course lessons and by studying the information that has been made so readily available by my fellow WA members. Once I felt more prepared and less negative and doubtful, I began again.

I began my "do-over" a few weeks ago. And thus far, I've followed and have been followed, blogged and commented, replied and created, social networked and made new connections, encouraged and received encouragement. And through all of this, I've managed to create and publish two websites, acquire my own domains for them, published decent content, and got them indexed. Today, I managed to connect my websites to an affiliate. When the "visual" format wouldn't allow me to insert my affiliate links, I learned to use the text editor to place my links in hypertext markup language. Guys, I'm being schooled. I'm learning, and it feels good. I have many more things to learn, but I'm willing because I'm committed to building a successful business, to attaining a new and improved lifestyle, and to being of better service to others. So school is in, and I'm looking forward to what I'll learn tomorrow.

XOXO,

Melissa

Excellent advice here, Melissa! Sometimes, we tend to get a bit ahead of ourselves and have to redo some things as we go. Glad to hear instead of giving up, you thought about what you should do, did it, and now you're taking those steps to see success.
Best wishes :) ~Sherry

The best way to make your dreams come true. if one idea does not work go for another one.

This is such a great post. The fact that you didn't succeed at first, but didn't give up. You regrouped, self-evaluated, and started again! That's awesome. Very encouraging stuff.

Thank you so much for your encouragement. All of this is new to me, but I'm learning to eat that elephant one bite at a time. :-)
