Thanks for the heads-up! I’m quite interested in giving it a go with affiliate marketing. I feel quite comfortable on most things, but the main starting issue I feel will be zeroing in on an appropriate niche that will allow me to express myself, and also monetize to a certain level.
I’m not worried about supporting myself this way, but it would be great to have surplus travel money!
One question. I have my own hosting and will be using it. Will this work within WA to get insight and help, etc?

Yes, you can use your own hosting Mike. You'll miss out on some stuff here in WA like SiteFeedback and SiteComments, but the training works no matter who your host is.
Just to double check though - did you buy a premade website? There are a lot of companies out there that sell garbage (ebay, Flippa, + others), so I just want to make sure you are not starting off on the wrong foot.
If you made the site yourself, then you should be good to go.

I create my own websites and have hosting paid up for a few years. I just haven't been monetizing my websites. That is my main goal at this point.
