I usually make my reservations 2 or 3 months ahead of each trip but I have not made any bookings at all for our next trip and we are leaving in just 3 weeks. I did look up Taos Pueblo to make reservations there but I found no "Book Now" tab. So I e-mailed the website and asked them if reservations are needed or not. I am awaiting their response. Oh, and the name of the restaurant that I could not remember while making the video is Fiesta Oaxaca. The restaurant is an excellent four and a half stars restaurant . We always eat here because they have reasonable prices and the food really is out of this world good. It is vegetarian friendly and also has vegan selections. Vegan selections are clearly indicated on the menu. They have more than one version of Mole and they also have huitlacoche.

I will now start researching hotels in Taos and Red River. We already have our favorite hotels in Santa Fe and Las Vegas New Mexico. I will update this Travel Through North Central New Mexico blog as each step is accomplished.

Update #1; Taos Pueblo responded to my question and they told me that we do not need reservations. Just show up, pay the entrance fee, and enter the Pueblo.

Update #2; I received advice ( can be seen in the comment section) about how to prompt ChatGPT for relevant research for planning the trip so I am now making choices from the results.

Update #3; ChatGPT accomplished three versions of my road trip itinerary.

1) A no nonsense itinerary with the most direct route and a more scenic route with some very nice places to eat and visit.

2) A food and leisure itinerary with local dining and relaxed exploring highlighted. And,

3) A blended and balanced itinerary which "will give you the cultural depth of Northern New Mexico AND the chance to savor its food and slower moments."

After ChatGPT did all that, It asked me if I wanted the driving time, distances, and leisure time all mapped out. I said yes and got a very detailed " Balanced 4-Day Road Trip with Driving Results."

Then it plotted the chosen itinerary on a "Google My Maps style route (with pins for food + sights)" so I would have a visual to follow. I will follow what ChatGPT gave my but I still have to go to IHG app and Marriott Bonvoy app to make hotel room reservations
