Ok here it is. I have to create a website for a chiropractor office. Don't know where to begin...

ahh man.. you should pick a theme that has a real cool look. Like Big Words, Background IMages of chiropractor, and a lot of images for your about the chiropractor and like the directions and etc.

Ya so big words, and picture background.
Make sure it's Mobile Responsive too.
Parallax Scrolling would be cool too.

Got you do you think word press is responsive enough and do you have any themes in mind?

Actually it is better to go with a plain jane type theme with no background image for a couple of reasons.

First it will slow down your load speed going with the extra stuff which can cause you to lose mobile user quickly.

Second, any extra flashy junk on your screen may look cool but it takes the readers focus off of your content ... and your content is what you get ranked on and what you make your money on.

Google is certainly not going to say hey John Doe has a cool looking site, let's put him in position number one on the first page. Nor are your visitors going to say, wow this is a sweet looking site I must buy something from it.

Remember your building a business and a business to make money and anything that gets in the way of that, well, gets in the way of that.

At the end of the day it's your choice but anyone can build a pretty blog site and not rank or make a dime. :-)

If you need anything let me know.

ROCK ON!

Ok two fold here. I actually own a chiropractor office and I'm making a website for that specifically to target local patients and also in the process of creating a car accident lawyer/ chiropractor referral service. So I need some things specific to that that will rank high locally! Don't know how much aesthetics really matter and don't care really just need to accomplish those two goals for now. Creating stable websites for each.

Yea. Simplicity is always a good thing too. Try not to over think the theme because the content is always what gets the job done.

Try checking out other chiropractor websites to get some ideas.

Well, ranking is ranking for the most part and it still works the same whether for a local site or a global site.

Something that can build a local base along side ranking is doing local marketing. Many chiropractors and lawyers do paid radio, print and television ads. These of course are expensive (maybe not so much for print) and typically these folks can afford for this kind of advertising.

I would follow training closely and be sure to implement everything thoroughly. Pay special attention to your social media campaigns (you'll learn this in training) because it will really help with the local market and may replace some of the costly paid marketing. Just keep in mind your competition (locally) will most likely have paid TV and radio spots and that will not be easy to contend with so brand very strong.

If you need anything let me know.

ROCK ON!

Thanks I really appreciate that. Going threw the training right now :)
