I Just Woke Up
Life Happened. I put WA and my website to sleep for a while. On second thought, I may have drugged them and put them both into a coma.
I put my website off for about 2 months. I even gave it considerable thought about cancelling it for just a "little while". LOL -- I could not even find the un-disburbed time to do that.
Nomatter what I did, I felt as though I just couldn't find the time to sit and write. After the first of the year when I realized how long it had really been for me, I began to almost get afraid of what may have happened to my site, what was happening here at WA.
With my total of 2 hours of a commute each day, I began to just re-listen to all of Kyle's training video's while I drove. Then some days I would think, who am I kidding? I am away from my house 12 hours a day, come home to a family and of course dogs. But no matter what, I did not cancel knowing that it is still here for me.
With out putting a lot of thought or even real effort into it at this point, I did start taking a notebook with me everytime I got into the car. I remebered that I have a notepad on my cell phone. Creativity !!! I can find ways to get this done. Ok, so it is not the 20 hours a week that I would love to put into it, but baby steps are just as important if not more, than large jumps!!! I do have an hour lunch every day at work. That equals 5 hours a week. :-)
Last Sunday night after both really disappointing football games, I decided to just sit at the kitchen table in front of the computer. Still, I got NOTHING done. Did not even open it up.
However, Monday at lunch, I found 1 post I had begun on my phone, I found about an 800 word "post" in my notebook. I got on here Monday night and realized I had started a post and found one not posted that had over 1500 WORDS. Path of least resistance was put in front of me and I took it. 4 Posts are in process of being ready to be published!
Tuesday night about 10 pm, I bit the bullet, reviewed it, made some changes, hit 2020 words and ran that spell checker one more time. I really wasn't excited it , I just knew I had to start getting content going again.
I hit the publish button - I knew I can go back and edit it at any point in time. I went to bed. 5am comes fast. Last night about 9:45 my email alert went off on my phone--- that post I was NOT excited about --it INDEXED in exactly 24 hours, almost to the minute!!! Yes, I looked. :-) I even woke my husband up last night to re-read my email.
He looked at me, smiled, and said , "Now, aren't you glad you didn't quit? You got this!
And I believe he is right, I do
