Amazon recently changed Text Linking

I was in contact with another member through chat last night about adding a text link to a product from Amazon. Adding an Image link or a Image+Text link works the same as it always has with the iframe or a href tags. But when you click on Text in the Amazon Associates Site Stripe, you get only a url link to the page you are on with your associate linkage in it. In order to get a true text link in your blog post, you have to go through a completely different process.
First, find your product. I am going to use one that I put in my blog today Fibrodiary.com It is a book called Pain Revolution for Migraine and Fibromyalgia. To make this book available for a link within the text of my post, I click on the words "Amazon Associates Site Stripe" and not the Link Text link. At the top of my (empty) earnings page is where I have to search for the product and get the actual link that I can insert into the text of my post.
Please tell me if this is helpful or if I should (try) to create some training on this. Because this was a tricky one for me to figure out!
