What Is My Experience at Wealthy Affiliate- Great First 6 Months
Hello World!
Most of us are familiar with the Hello World post we all delete every time we create a new WordPress site.
Beyond mentioning the Hello World post, I want to share what is my experience at Wealthy Affiliate in the great first 6 months of my new career.
I Took it All In- Then I Got Started
In my first months as a Wealthy Affiliate Premium Member I dived into t headfirst, but soon realized that wasn't a good strategy for me.
Even thought the Wealthy Affiliate Certification Training is Excellent, I found myself going into too many directions. I was trying to be very active in the community, I was playing with several Niche Ideas and websites, and I even tried following the boot camp along with the regular certification.
Basically I got in my own way.
When I realized that I was trying too hard and going in every direction at once, I decided to cut myself slack. This is when I chose to just follow the certification through with a sort of dummy Niche that I wasn't very serious about.
I saved my serious Niche Idea and put it aside.
I Hit The Delete Button- Over and Over Again
Not until I completed the certification did I get started. And I started by deleting All my practice websites and I unchecked All of my training levels.
Now I am going through the Wealthy Affiliate Certification Course a second time using my chosen Nich (Memorials and Funerals)
And I am also setting aside time to be active within our Wealthy Affiliate Community.
This Is What I Discovered
In my first six months I discovered a career that I enjoy. It is a late career as I am 52. But I enjoy it and I can visualize myself enjoying my career for many years and well into retirement.
As it has been said, "Do what you love, and the Money will follow".
Well I have yet to make money. But I know that I enjoy this enough to put in the time required. And I have narrowed my focus to one Niche and of being active in the Community.
Closing Thought
If you are considering joining us in the Wealthy Affiliate Community, or you are just getting started- my advice after 6 short months is for you to take your time and find your way of enjoying this first.
Then get serious doing something you love.

Hi SashaGator,
In my first few months there was so much information. For me, when I narrowed my focus, that is when I started feeling productive.
It sounds like you're pacing yourself.
Best wishes, Matt.
Thank you for sharing Matt! Happy 6 months! I too plan on making a second website once I get the hang of the content writing and staying consistent. It's been only less than a month for me but excited for what's to come. Cheers!

Hi Mat, you have hi the nail on head, many choose to run with more than 1 website ..when they first get into WA..I think it is better if you have 1 only make all the mistake or success on one then you can duplicate..thank you for sharing
