Week 8: Progress!

After a series of very tough weeks, I am back on a schedule I feel is manageable. I think I went three weeks without publishing a single thing. I had many drafts, but no time to finish them since I was dealing with a bunch of stuff and pulling extra duty at my full-time job. So last week, I titled my blog post Never Give Up and that's exactly what I did.

I was able to publish a few posts to my site that I am very pleased with. I shared them on Facebook and saw a boost in site traffic. I got some pages indexed in Google, so now they can at least be found even though Google search has apparently undergone changes I don't fully understand. The only thing I do know is that those changes don't seem to do people like me any favors. That doesn't matter too much since I am putting more time and energy into developing a social media presence and driving traffic that way.

I did not reach my goal of 15 posts by the end of April, but I am close. I should have that knocked out by the end of the week now that I have some questions answered about affiliate links. I am encouraged this week because I made no progress for a couple of weeks in overcoming obstacles and pushing forward last week. My focus is on building value as much as possible with every article I write. I hope that one day it will lead to consistent revenue and a community some may call home.
