why would you have a temporary sitemap? The sitemap of your website is a permanent thing, its not temporary and once you have submitted it to google console, you dont do anything, you are good to go and will start getting analytics for your site. Not sure what you were reading but it is incorrect.

What were you reading?... Once your site map is submitted, you don't need to do anything further, unless the plugin you are using, dictates or advises you to do something
