Laptop purchase
Has anyone recently bought a laptop that they are extremely happy with? I am looking for something light, as I travel a lot, and fast, with lots of memory, preferably under $1000. A touch screen or conversion to a tablet is not necessary but a bonus.
I would appreciate you sharing your buying experience.

Happy hunting! I always find laptop searching so confusing due to all the options. But, I have always liked HP's and have had good success with them.
My last laptop crashed on me and I purchased a Lenovo Yoga slim with the new Snapdragon processors. Snapdragon processors are known for their energy efficiency, allowing laptops to achieve long battery life, sometimes even multi-day usage. It's almost a smartphone-like user experience.
I brought mine from Best Buy right around $1,000. I don't know if you remember that last hurricane that hit Florida last October, but the sales guy told me that there was a Best Buy store there that lost power for almost two days, and when they opened back up, all the laptops on displays were drained - except for the ones with Snapdragon. They had about 10% battery power left after two days of outages.
Isaiah 🙂
That was one of the first ones I looked at, the Lenovo Yoga. It was on sale, but probably not now. My second option is an HP, as I have had luck with them before.
Thanks, Isaiah, for your input. Now I am thinking of Lenovo again :).

I've been using a MacBook Pro for the last few years and it's been a great laptop. It's relatively lightweight, fast, and offers plenty of memory.
It's probably a bit over your budget of $1,000 and there's definitely a learning curve if you're coming from Windows like I did. While the performance is great, I thought I'd use it more than I actually have and wish the screen was bigger.
The reason I purchased it is because my wife always uses a MacBook Air provided by the school she teaches at and was always saying how great it worked.
I did look up a few options for Windows, if that's what you've been using. One option is the Lenovo IdeaPad and the other is the Acer Swift Go 16. Both seem like solid options in your price range, though I can't speak from personal experience since I haven't bought either of these laptops.
One thing I recommend is looking at refurbished options whether that's online or at a local computer store. I did look at the two laptops I mentioned and found some under $800.
Hope that helps out!
Thanks, Josh, for your input. I appreciate it and will have a look at your suggestions.

I could send you over to my website... or ask you to search for
"Master Niche Blogging With AI And Copilot+ PC"
or
"Forget Everything You Know About PCs: The Copilot+PC AI Revolution Is Real!"
That would land you on my review of the new CoPilot PCs. My goal was to keep them under $1000.
ASUS has the most powerful unit for just under $1000 w/ 1TB of storage
Samsung has a larger screen and 512GB of Storage for $799.
I am an affiliate marketer and would yada yada yada yada
But we all should have a laptop with Copilot built in.
Don
Thanks, Don.
