My Progress at WA

I have been a member at WA for almost two months now. I feel that I have made some good progress in learning SEO and website design. I have gone slowly because of schedules and vacation time, but I think I am learning how to do internet marketing.

My 1st website is http://civilwar-reenacting.com/ and I'm using it as my learning tool. Actually, I think that the pictures and amount of content on it are quite good and interesting, especially for a newbie. I have a lot of links to add especially to the "Units" page as I try to find and connect to these groups. My links on the "Sutlers" page will wait until I have "Affilliate Program" status with as many of the sutlers as possible. At that point, I'll add a "Book Review" page and connect to Amazon.com.

I have two other websites in mind and I may start writing and archiving content on those soon, These will give me the opportunity to express myself and my Christian beliefs as I share some things that the Holy Spirit has shown me over the years in different ways than many people have thought about certain subjects.

My goal is to have a dozen websites in two years to provide an income stream in the years ahead. I would like to build this into a full-time income source, but will be patient and persistent until then.

I am just beginning to learn about using the social media. Blogging, Facebook, Google+, WA community postings, etc., are all new to someone used to conversation over coffee, a phone call, or emails. I'm trying to balance the value of the time spent with following/followers of people I don't really know with the benefits to be gained. Perhaps you can help explain these benefits to me so I can get motivated.

I do want to thank WA for the excellent training that is provided here and the community of support that has been created. This has been very helpful. I especially want to thank Scottdog who has taken the time to answer my many questions and emails, and has been very patient in helping me walk some issues.
