HI

Demos are that, when you install a theme it is blank canvas. They show what could possibly be done with that specific theme.
(choices and options)

So we have to add content.

Hope this helps.

Some themes like GeneratePress Premium they come with a demo to upload onto your theme, however it is not recommended because you would end up editing content that's not yours.

When I tested them, I kept getting a 500 internal server error.

I understand that however there is a thumbnail for each site that does not correlate to the demo at all. I know how to find WP full demos elsewhere but I am looking to go all out promoting WA and believe that, for a novice, this would be confusing especially compared to what else is out there now when it come to self build websites. Any idea if WA is going to improve this?

I noticed the thumbnail but not that there's a difference that because in the back of my mind it is blank canvas, you may check out with site support

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Alternatively you may reach out to Kyle and leave them a message on their profile space

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/kyle

FYI here is a good example

https://wpastra.com (then click on "starter templates")

Just click on any of the demos and see, It makes creating a site so much easier, just change the content rather than "a blank canvas" that requires a higher level of skill.

Of course there is nothing stopping a WA member using these on the WA platform and many are free.

Appreciate your help,

Cheers,
Martin.

Some of them are really nice designs and you have a point. I appreciate you explaining, and you're very welcome.

Anyone have a solution to increase import file size from 64MB to 512MB using All-in-one WP Migration. Site support won't allow changes to the htaccess file and htaccess editor

Hi

Below resource might help (much larger than 512mb)

https://kiranworkspace.com/how-to-increase-the-512mb-limit-in-all-in-one-wp-migration/

I'd run with a test site first, before applying on a main.

This link is more detailed and author states of two ways, one you described and the other same as the first link

https://shameem.me/increase-upload-limit-for-all-in-one-wp-migration-plugin/

Hope you get it figured out.

Hey thanks Abie. The second author had one extra point I needed. That is it only works with an older version of the plugin which he supplied as a download. Works perfectly. Thank you :)

That's really awesome, thank you for letting us know.

I bookmarked link already for future reference.

And you're very welcome.

how do I access the cpanel in my hosting account?

Hi

You may submit a ticket to site support, they'll be able to assist.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

You don't use cPanel here because this is managed hosting, meaning SiteSupport take care of everything for you. Just reach out to them for any changes you need to make :)

I want to add some images that are available to us in Site Content editor to my Wordpress media library. How do I download these images? I can only see how to add them to a par

Just create a "temp" post, fill it with images and publish it. Now the images are in your site's media library. Delete the "temp" post.

Thank you for your help. I have tried it and yes the images appear in the library but I have found the images to be of very low resolution (only 30 - 50 KB). Is there a way to get a better resolution?

You know I've never really checked the file size on mine..just pixel dimensions.

I'm not sure on that one.

OK, thanks.

Wish I could be of more help on this one.

Create a post in Site Content that you're not going to publish and add the images you want to access. Then simply right-click on each of the images then select "save image as" and save them on your computer. You can then upload them to your media library.

Hi Marion.
Thanks for your help. I was not able to to this. When I right click there is no "save image as" unless I publish it and then go to my site.
However I have found that by publishing it (and then deleting the post) the image has been saved to the media library. My only issue now is the resolution is too low (30 - 100KB). Do you know if there is a way to get the image with a better resolution?

Try a different browser, I use Chrome.

You have to insert them in your post when you in Site content, they will then transfer to your WP media area when you publish the post from Site Content to WP.

You can’t put them in retrospectively once your in WP.

Hope that makes sense.

Hi Heidi.

Thank you for your help. Yes, makes sense, but I have found the images to be of very low resolution (only 30 - 50 KB). Is there a way to get a better resolution? For example, if I go to "Pixabay" I can choose various resolutions up to 2MB.
