Working and then.that song brought back memories

While working sometimes I like to listen to music. I like different genres of music, so you could find me listening to just about any genre. I don't usually know the correct words so I will fill in the blanks with what it sounds like to me.

As I was intently working or so I thought I was in the zone...a song began to play and it took me back to the college days of partying in the student union or the "Greek" sorority or fraternity houses.

I am going to name 3 songs and the artist that take me down memory lane, way back down memory lane. It is funny how these certain songs bring back certain feelings from your thoughts that you have put away for years.

1. Let's Groove Tonight by Earth, Wind and Fire- 1981; when I hear this song I just vision myself walking into a party with the lights off and the disco ball reflecting the trip lights. Good ole' days.

2. Life is Like A Ball Game- Sung by my Daddy. I found that Wynona Carr recorded it. My dad was in a church music group way back yonder and it brings back fond memories of church days. Good ole' days.

3. Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog - Three Dog Night -1971- This song puts me back in elementary and junior high music class.

I just thought I would mention this and see if you have any favorite songs or songs that just take you back down memory lane. If you do list them here so we can share in your mood from way back when.

As always thank you for taking the time to read this post. A like and feedback would be appreciated.

I like that too, Anthony. Thank you for sharing.

I am before you so my songs are mostly with the groups, the Charlites, the Manhattans, Gladice Knight, Micheal Jackson(the Jackson five) By the way, I also like your songs too.

Marlene, you have an incredible list. I loved, was in love and still adore Michael Jackson. Lol. Let's just kiss and say goodbye Manhattans. Omg. That is the stuff. Thank you for sharing.

I was a huge Three Dog Night fan in my teens. Had most of their albums. Takes me back.

Steve, you know the reason for the name of the band?

I do not know the origin of the name of the Three Dog Night band.

It's a rating that is formed at a drinking establishment and the more intoxicated you are.... in this politically correct world we currently find ourselves in, perhaps I shouldn't disclose any more info on it. Hopefully I gave you enough info so you can decipher it. If not, send me a personal msg. Mark

I enjoyed their music too, Steve. Thank you for sharing.

I don't know the reason.

It is amazing how our senses bring back memories. A song, a scent, a touch can trigger memories from years ago.

Thank you for sharing your memories.

I don't have song, right now, to add to the list, but I will enjoy viewing others' when they comment.
