To Do OR Not To Do
Lessons come in all ways. Teachable moments happen all the time.
When teaching and learning is thought of, it is usually in the form of what to do. Questions must be asked or an experience experienced to know what not to do.
It is great to be taught in the positive form but if you learn through an experience of what not to do it was still a lesson.
Many times what not to do will definitely leave a stronger impression on one than what to do.
All are not GREAT teachers but in some way we are all teachers.
Teaching what to do is great and also letting people know along the way you have made some mistakes makes the teacher and the pupil able to relate to each other better.
But whether you have learned in the positive through instruction or the negative error and trial and error... you have still accomplished the goal of learning AND teaching. In which often sharing the error usually enlightens the teacher also.
TO DO OR NOT TO DO....IS STILL A LESSON LEARNED!
Thank you for acknowledging my post. It is greatly appreciated. I love to read feedback.

It is always good to be reminded that all our actions are being watched by somebody, and they will take that in and process it how they will, but it's best to be aware that all the time, we are teaching someone by our words and deeds. Best wishes for your continued success!
I am too. I learn by instruction. I have also learned when applying the instructions and things do not come out the way they should I learn by doing what I shouldn't have done also.Thank you for commenting.
Thank you for mentioning and sharing. It can not be said and told enough, that every day we find ourselves having encountered new experiences, different approaches and new lessons to be taken in.
Could not agree more -) to do or not to do.
Wishing you success in every respect - Henriette.

I love this sentence, " Many times what not to do will definitely leave a stronger impression on one than what to do."
That is so true and often forgotten or perhaps not given as much value as learning through a positive way.
Terrific post, I really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more of your work.
