Hey there,
I am so excited to share that I am one of the winners for the phone challenge.
First of all, I want to thank everyone that voted for my design and resonated with my vision.
The Challenge
If you want to see the exact challenge, you can do so by clicking here, but here's the breakdown taken directly from the listing:
- Use Image Studio to design your own unique mobile phone. Your design should:
- Look like a real, polished product concept
- Have its own personality and style
- Feel like something you would actually want to use
Think about things like: The shape and form factor (curved, flat, foldable, transparent, rounded). The materials (glass, metal, wood, carbon fiber, ceramic). The screen (edge to edge, wraparound, holographic, dual screen). The colors, textures, and finish. Any unique features that set it apart visually

The Design Inspiration & Vision
The design I created was inspired by my own and others experience with having long hands. If you know, you know the struggle of holding something meant for average hands.
One thing I personally wish for is a phone that is just a little bit bigger but not so big as a tablet so when I saw this challenge, I had to participate even though I didn't think it would do very well.
The Outcome
After several iterations with Image Studio, this is the final design it generated. Although the last image is oriented in the opposite direction, I think it did pretty good capturing my vision of a phone that slides width ways to create a little more gripping area then slides back to fit a regular pocket size.
For reference, its something like a Nokia Slide but instead of opening to a keyboard, my phone opens as an extension of the screen.
The Reward
As one of the top 10 winners, I received 20,000 AI Credits, yay!
I hadn't expected my design to win but am glad to have the support of others and people who see and understand my vision.
Now on to the next challenge and continuing to build my business. The extra credits are nice because they give me an extra cushion to use for research, creation of images, and more!
Until next time,
Marlinda
