How To Get Free Stuff To Start Reviewing

Hi there,
One of the hardest things to do is to get started. You have the foundations of building your machine here, as in the platforms where you will distribute information, recommendations, etc. to drive sales and all that good stuff.
But what about personal experience?
What happens when you have lots of research but no personal experience at least with the type of product you have?
Assumiing you're in this to make money, its hard to buy additional products when you don't have the money in the first place.
So I wanted to share some ways I have used, and honestly some opportunities that found me, to get free products to start reviewing.
Ask The Brand
Probably one of the most intimedating things about being an online business is that your audience isn't big enough. We tend to talk ourselves out of this one simple act without even trying.
Yes you will hear a few no's but to be honest, especially as far as free products go, I've had way more yes's to brands sending me free products just by asking. You might even get introduced to paid opportunities this way as well.
Ask and you shall receive.
Always Include Contact Details

Start your free journey today — no credit card required.
Whether you're using social media platforms or websites, make sure your contact details are easily accessible. Have your email address everywhere. This is probably the most secure way but be mindful that spammers and scammers exist. One quick thing you can do is check the senders email. If it not a (thatbrand).com, I immediately delete it.
On longer form locations like webpages or link pages, you can put your address but do not include your home address. If you only work from home you can get a POBox, virtual address, or something like these that aren't your home address.
Sign Up For Product Sites
These types of sites can have different naems. UGC sites, Creator Content Platforms, Influencer Marketing Platforms, etc. The ones where brands post requests for content creation.
Make sure you fill out your bio professionally. These days you can easily have something clean and professional up by using AI, there's no excuse to have a messy or incomplete bio.
Because impressions matter. Don't think someone who has tons of views or followers is a better creator than you are. Sometimes they aren't and brands or their reps are browsing profiles looking for better creators.
I have had opportunities both paid and free because the rep like my work. Be wholesome, real and all that jazz but be professional.
Write Good Reviews for Shopping Networks
Some platforms have programs where you can choose products from a database to write reviews for them. These are invite only but you never know who's watching.
I had no idea these programs existed until I was invited myself. I honestly thought it was a scam and almost rejected the opportunity.
These platforms include all sorts of product categories and niches. If the platform carries it, there's a category on the platform for it.
And as you work up the tiers you get access to higher value items. The highest ticket item I've reviewed on these kind of networks is over $3,000 and have had several other high ticket items as well. This is how I got my robot vacuum, lol.
Remember that the content you put out is your portfolio. Sometimes things take a while to work but when it does, it does.
But don't stay stuck on only free products. The point of this is giving you some actionable ways to start producing your own experiences within your niche. Eventually you want to turn your creations into paid opportunities.
So I hope this helps and makes sense. If you have any questions or other things to add, please feel free in the comments.
Take care,
Marlinda
