Email Marketing Is Still a Work in Progress for Me But I'm Going To Try It Again
Hey there,
I’ve tried building an email list more times than I can count, but I’ve never really gotten passed the starting line. I can count on one hand how many sign-ups I’ve had and I don’t even have access to those old lists anymore. So when people talk about “emailing your list,” I’m still trying to get to the part where I actually have one.
Still, I get why everyone says it’s important. Having your own email list means you’re not relying on social platforms or hoping your post gets seen. It’s your space to show up, connect, and grow something that belongs to you.
So even though it hasn’t worked out yet, I’m not giving up. I’ve been thinking more intentionally about how I want to serve and what kind of value I can offer through email. I want to do it differently this time although I'm not a hundred percent sure what that looks like right now.
If you've got any tips for me, I'd love to hear it. What is working for you and how do you use your list to share your brand? or if you're like me, what’s your biggest challenge with email marketing?
I'd love to hear from you,
~ Marlinda

The toughest part is building a list. The only advice I can offer is provide value and give them a reason to join you in your journey.
Good Luck,
Michael
Hi Marlinda. I'm in the same boat I had only 8 subscribers to my list, most of whom are friends, but then, yesterday, I noticed I had a 9th person - someone I don't know.
So I guess it's working, just slowly and we keep doing what we're doing and things will shift eventually.
Not sure it that helps but it gave me a lift yesterday.
All the best.
Gail
I am still trying to figure this out so if you post your steps and how you get it going, that would help me a ton! I look forward to reading about this journey of yours with email lists. I want one .. no... I need one too!

I HAVE A TIP‼️
But first, let me say this. People are overwhelmed with the email they get. So unless that person opted in intentionally and with a desire to see your information, your message will probably go to the trash.
The successful method I used was for my local event business, but it could also be used for online events. (webinars, education, entertainment etc)
The platforms I used were EventBrite and Facebook. EventBrite was the ticketing (lead generation) and Facebook was the target audiences (via Boosted Facebook ADs)
I also integrated EventBrite with MailChimp (and HubSpot) to capture the leads name and emails.
MailChimp went into an automated sequence that reminded the list about upcoming events for them to tune into.
If you’re interested, I can explain this all more clearly if you PM me.
