My homeland is experiencing heavy rainfalls
Today is cloudy, rain is falling in some areas and many persons are displaced because of heavy rainfall which started last week.
This weather condition has wreck havoc for many homeowners both tenants and landlords. This change in the weather pattern should prompt the government to re- examine the plans they have for the infrastructure for the growing population.
Many homes are flooded, cars trapped and in some cases washed away. Some gullies overflow their banks and even rivers have changed their course. A number of land break away are evident in many communities.
As a result many family members are marooned from each other. The old, the sick and children are all impacted.
The usual hurricane season has not started and so many things are happening. Can you imagine those who are extremely poor and who are homeless?
My heart goes out to them so this is certainly a time to think and implement long term measures. Plus a time to prepare for the season ahead.
For those of you who are safe and have great weather conditions give thanks.
A few places are like this but not the many.
