Wealthy Affiliates: 4 Good Reasons to Join And You Only Need 1!
It’s not just about adding to your income, or even finding one. It’s more along the lines of, “Don’t just give a person a fish; teach him/her to do it.” There’s some depth to it. Some sacrifice is required with a good pay-off. You may be looking for something to do after retirement. You may be a stay-at-home mom with some extra time while the kids are at school. You may be a university graduate with some debt to resolve. Whatever it might be, your circumstances may require a bit of a course adjustment, a sense of direction or purpose, or a means to an end not yet quite in focus.
You’ve somehow come across this website: The Wealthy Affiliate and perhaps have done a cursory scan, a preliminary reading, a bit of research and it looks, pause, pause, interesting, but you’re not quite sure. Fair enough. A little skepticism is healthy and caution is never inappropriate. So let me help you along a bit by giving you five good reasons to jump in.
Reasons #1: It’s Legitimate
The Wealthy Affiliate is no scam. Not a bit. What is promised is delivered as long as you persevere and do your share requiring a heavy dose of discipline and commitment. And they don’t tell you otherwise. This is not for people wanting an easy ride to the money machine. But the pay-off is worth the effort and you will be surprised at the rate of your growth. And, as part of its legitimacy, you can get out any time. If you don’t like it…quit!! But who loses if you do?
Now sure, this is a business and the owners make some money off the members. And the $49 monthly fee needs to be considered seriously. But seen as an investment, this could have some very positive results far exceeding that monthly fee. So dream a little. What are your financial goals and how are you going to reach them? The Wealthy Affiliate may just be an answer
Reason #2: The Training Program is Superb
I am a career educator. I have been a qualified teacher and educational administrator for 40 years and, although now technically retired and receiving a pension, I still get the odd call to substitute. My point is this: I know a good curriculum when I see it. The training program:
- Is beautifully organized
- Is multi-dimensional with different elements and programs
- Uses videos for training and other audio-visual material
- Has step-by-step instruction
- Can be re-played if you miss something the first time
- Is geared to the goals of the program and does not stray
- Has a built-in community support mechanism
- Encourages questions and provides means to ascertain answers
- Provides continuous instruction at the learner’s own pace
Reason #3: Provides Immediately for Membership in a Supportive Community
Communities may not be for everybody. But it’s sure to have someone around whose knowledge is valuable when the going gets tough. And for those of us not really up-to-snuff with computer technology and jargon, a helping hand is much appreciated. I’m personally quite old-school and was never trained in computer sciences. I’ve had to learn how to manipulate a computer and all its hardware/software basically on my own. And I am often “at sea” with my admitted ignorance. But in the short time that I’ve been a member of the WA community, I’ve had to reach out for assistance and within, usually, minutes I receive a helping response. I could not ask for more. WA provides a direct link to a limitless ocean of knowledgeable folks ready and willing to respond to calls of distress.
Not to belabour this, but let’s face it. In whatever endeavour you try in this world there are those above you and those below you in knowledge and expertise. If there is a means whereby you can tap into this expertise in a project you’re interested in, and the knowledge is free, and the expertise is given in a friendly and courteous manner, well why not try it? Enough said on this point. I know you get it.
Reason #4: Not Only is it Fun, But the WA Method has Great Promise
I’m an old guy learning new tricks. And frankly, I love it. Every day I get up and look forward to wrestling with the WA program and learning a whole bunch of stuff I never knew before. Every day I learn something and I’m better for it. And this process should be enough. There’s wealth in the satisfaction I’m receiving from just putting my website together. But of course, there’s more. I’m trusting the process. I believe that if I can put together a decent website, or maybe two or three, that the added income I receive will provide a security I didn’t think possible. It can provide additional resources for my wife, children, and six grandchildren. I believe that is something worth working before and, I remind myself, I’m having fun doing it, and providing additional education for myself. Care to join us? Nothing could be easier.
