Hello from beautiful California! This is my first blog entry and I've been a member here since Pribs was kind enough to point me in the right direction from his nomorebsreviews.com website. Shout out to you brother! :)
I wanted to get started blogging before I got to far into my experience here at WA so everything would be fresh in my mind. I joined start up membership less than a week ago. Kicked the tires and looked around for a couple of days before I went for the premium upgrade. It was an easy decision really, because the test drive made it obvious to me this was a great place to be. The whole structure of the site and the responsive and kind people here I found suited me quite well.
You know, it doesn't take long if you've been around IM online very long to realize a lot of what's out there is nothing but snake oil salesman, preying on the naivete of some, the ignorance of others and the greed of a "get rich quick" mentality. When you find that their"free" offer comes only after 3 high leverage up sells or that "to receive FULL benefit" from their "free offer" you need to join a $97/mo membership site, well if you're like me, it just starts to leave a really BAD taste in your mouth. Hey don't get me wrong I don't mind being marketed to. After all that's what I'm interested in and seeing how others go about it actually helps me a lot. I do however mind very much being flat out MISLED by slick sales pages that deliver fabulous conversions but low quality products. How many times have you thought to yourself "Man if they'd have put half as much thought into the product as they did the sales page, this might have actually been worth my money."? Yea, been there,done that,got the tee shirt. lol ;)
Yes you do learn both good and bad from the way others market to you. In fact I just unsubscribed to a marketers mailing list a few minutes ago. Want to know why? Well when I checked my email this morning there was not 1, not 2...wait for it...not 3 but 4 new messages from his autoresponder pushing more of his products, which quite frankly weren't that great to begin with. Guess he didn't want to wait for that magic 7 contacts threshold over a week, so he just decided to blast 4 out to me today. Maybe his alimony payment was due, who knows. As I was unsubscribing from his list I was thinking, "you've taught me all I need to know". I mean why would I want that person to teach me? He's supposed to be an expert and he managed to tick me off in less than a week. Ponderous man, ponderous.
Experiences like that are what makes places like WA stand head and shoulders above the crowd. How about this for a sales approach.Come in for free...see what we have to offer...you can continue for free as long as you wish...if you like what you see, we do offer more for a monthly fee which we'll discount for you for the 1rst month. If you want to stay with us here's EXACTLY what it'll cost...no high pressure sales...no gimmicky tricks...just a straight up here's who we are, here's what we offer and here's what it costs. You decide if you think it has value to you. Cancel anytime or stay as long as you like, totally up to you. What a breath of fresh air!
At this point in my WA experience I'm MORE than satisfied with the value offered by this community of like minded souls from all walks of life. Every instructional tutorial or video has proven beneficial and the members are friendly,kind and polite as adults should be in my opinion. I believe I'll stick around awhile.
I do enjoy the fresh air so! :)

Well when it comes to mailing list i think 1 mail a week is proper, and 3/4 of the message should consist of free valuable content and information and the 4 could be a sale if the product is really good..

Yes Mike I think we a on the same page. Actually I don't mind a couple per week, but I definitely feel there should be some free valuable information shared before you start banging away with the offers. I'm a firm believer in the LKT model myself and this guy blew the first part early on. Didn't like him because he kept pushing his substandard products. I just wasn't convinced he was going to ever give me any true value. All four of those emails were basically just lame sales pitches with links to his stuff. Not good my brother, not good! He did manage to convince me of one thing though. I needed to unsubscribe immediately before he filled my inbox with a TON of USELESS offers.
Mark I like your discussion about the get rich schemes out there as I to have fallen victum to them. It is nice to hear someone tell it like it is.From what I have seen so far here there is a wealth of info here and I must say I do not think you can go wrong with this site. Glad to have you aboard.
Thanks John, yea we've all been there buddy believe me. Shiny object syndrome is deadly to your bank account. There are some really cool products out, but until you have a firm foundation about how to use them, they're just not that helpful, they just sit on your hard drive and MOCK you! lol :) I'm glad to be in a community where you can earn while you learn and meet some great people along the way. Thanks Krishna I appreciate the kind words, especially since this is my first blog post EVER! lol I used to be on the radio as an announcer, but that was AGES ago and I was wondering if I'd be able to communicate in my own "voice" through a written blog.I read all of your blog posts and I'm glad you were able to rejoin and contribute to WA. You have posted some good advice and you're speaking honestly out of a desire to help others. Everyone can benefit from members with that attitude. Best of everything to you!

I was totally able to understand your view on Internet Marketing and relate to it.
