Results Remotivation
So, just coming up to 3 months in WA and being down on myself. Websites up and running and blogs being written. Still learning lots but now the emphasis is on the daily grind of putting out content.
Results
I've had many wins. Learning and implementing new things. Figuring out and rectifying problems. All be it with help from tech support. But, to my mind, no real quantifiable results.
I've had a few of my blogs indexed by Google but couldn't find them on the first few pages. All good, still indexed.
Recently I got another email saying a blog was indexed by Google. Didn't pay much attention and actually ignored it. Today while going through my programs I saw it and decided to check it out. Lo and behold my blog was ranked 1 on the first page of Google! Nearly collapsed! Now that is a quantifiable result!
Remotivated
Simple as it is, that 1 on the Jaxxy Site Report has remotivated me! No matter how much you do. How much you think positive. Or, how much you stick to things. You end up getting down on yourself or demotivated when you don't see results.
Not saying that's wrong or right, just saying that it happens. Human nature I guess. But once you see something that you consider to be progress, you're on your way again!
Lesson
What have I learned? Apart from having too high expectations of myself. I must give myself certain quantifiable goals so that I feel progression. I've seen that and read it many times but now I understand what it actually means. Some of us have to learn the hard way.
Time to get back to work and give myself a break. Set short term goals and keep moving.
