How did I know that? Because you made the first step. You might be wondering what is this all about, but don't you worry, as you read along, you’ll know this is what you’ve been waiting for!

I’ve tried a lot of online schemes. Typing jobs, encoding, installing apps to get cash, transcribing, name it! And I know it’s tiring and devastating. You worked hard for it, but at the end of the day you’ll only gain not even $0.10!

I've been like you before.

Just to give you background about me, I've been wanting to have an extra peso on my pocket ever since.

It began when I'm on my 5th grade. I used to make accessories like necklaces, bracelets, rings out of beads just for fun and even tried buying wholesale bracelets at Divisoria and sells it to my classmates and teachers for Php5-10.00 ($0.10-0.20) that time.

Every summer vacation, I used to sell chocolates (from the fridge) at the park for five peso each, and let's be honest! If you're a 90s baby, five pesos on your hand that time is alot of money for nommies.

Going back to my story, it didn't end there, I’m just getting started. I used to sell perfumes when I was on my second year of high school, and I always bring my Mom's sample perfume bottles to present the products at the faculty office whenever I have free time. And of course, to my classmates as well that though it’s quite expensive, some of them still purchase as a gift for their love ones.

Half of my college years, even though it's prohibited to sell inside our university, I take orders and sell hand sized oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and different flavors of dessert tarts (ube, langka, mango, cashew).

I can still remember, during my first summer break and semestral break, year 2015, I enrolled myself at Kumon not as a student but applied as one their Assistant Mathematics Checker, and luckily I got the opportunity since the owner of the Kumon Manggahan branch is my mom's best friend (though I’m underaged and not fit to work that time).

Months have passed and I've noticed I wasn't being productive except in school. I have no extracurricular activities or other activities just like having dance rehearsals back when I was in high school. So, I've decided to apply at Kumon again, and the boss assigned me as their Reading Teacher, where I teach toddlers to read and master flashcards based on their levels and entertain them by reading story books while waiting for their parents to pick them up.

The next year, year 2016, I started become a working student. After classes I went straight to Kumon running just to complete the hours left before it closes, normally 6-7pm. But stopped before the semester ends, and told myself I needed to focus on my studies, and I wanted to be on the list.

But it hunts me, and bothers me since I'm seeing myself not that busy after finishing my homework, researches, projects, reports and all. So, I ended up searching online for home-based jobs and I saw 51TALK. I thought why not apply and practice my major which is Diplomacy.

Basically 51TALK, is an English training to Chinese students, in short, an online English school. I passed all interviews and was promoted to the second level position where I earn Php 54.00/booked class which lasts for 25 minutes per student. I enjoyed the work though it’s quite stressful handling booked classes and at the same time having emergency school deadlines. I worked on the said job from second semester of 2016 up to Summer of 2018. I can still remember how I set aside everything. All date schedules on weekends, eat outs with friends or family, a quality to just rest and do nothing just to do Full Time on that job together with tons of case readings and research papers. I experienced teaching Chinese students of all ages; I've even handled a 56-year-old businessman! After ending my contract, I focused on my studies and paper works. And unfortunately, I failed myself, I didn't make it on the list, but am proud to be one of the university's dean's lister despite working multiple jobs.

After graduation, I did a 3-week rest and applied as a Call Center Agent of a United States–based wireless network operator, it was never on my list but I really want to try the work experience on that field. Well- after those messy graveyard schedules, I started getting health issues, so I stopped.
