Ok... I've been blogging for over 6 years now, but it was always a hobby.

2 months ago, I decided to try and earn some money from this, so I started jazzing up the site. I had a look at the content and started culling the posts that were just fluff. Then I started looking at the existing posts and rewriting them to make them more appealing. I started adding graphics and adding extra value through infographics, etc.
In each post that I've added affiliate links to products that are relevant to what I have written about in the particular post.
(I also started looking at a new WP theme, but this is something that I am taking my time with because I don't want to pick the wrong one.)
Of the 350 posts that I have written I have "upgraded" about 10 of them (it's a slow process). Today I checked the affiliate stats and saw that I had earned 2 commisions!! (Woot!)
It's not much, but it has given me a sign that revamping my old blog is going to be valuable and has inspired me to keep going.
