8 Weeks into my WA journey
Hi Wamily
I trust you are all well today and enjoying your weekend.
Please don't tell anybody (LOL!!) but I finally figured out where to start blogging. Yes, I know I could have asked somebody but I only realized recently that posting on my website and blogging on the platform is two different things. Believe it or not I am a granny, a young one! This is the first blog I am writing. You are never too old to learn and do things for the first time. I firmly believe in doing things that push you out of your comfort zone, within reason that is! No bungee jumping for me, thank you!
The truth is I don't really like writing, so blogging hasn't been something that I naturally gravitated towards, neither do I have too much appreciation for social media, I prefer eye contact with people.
It is time for a mind shift, whether I like it or not the world has been heading that way for a long time and I have to adapt. We live on a farm and Covid has pushed me to start appreciating the internet and connecting online. I am discovering that you definitely can connect online and it is hugely beneficial.
I am starting a new career, doing coaching and affiliate marketing and learning new online skills, you never stop learning as technology keeps changing.
Technology doesn't come naturally to me, all you really have to know is where to click when! I am learning, as you have probably realized I am trying to connect many dots here in WA, 8 weeks into my journey.
But it is all okay! I am so grateful to Kyle and Carson for the structured step by step training and the support from all of you. A big heartfelt thank you from me. I love the culture in WA, it resonates with me and I appreciate the caring we experience. The world is so in need of a caring environment.
The bottom line of my message is sharing with you the trials and tribulations of a newbie! I am even starting to enjoy writing and the reason is there is a big difference between formal writing and conversational writing, thank goodness! Doing fundraising I had to write with as few a word as possible, say as much as possible and then have 3 seconds to get somebody's attention. The 3 seconds to get attention still applies but at least I can use words freely.
The photo was taken on the farm where we live, kitchen with a view! The Karoo is a semi arid region, central South Africa and the sunsets are awesome.
Enough said about me, thank you for reading and I hope you got something from it.
Have a wonderful day

Well done Marelise! Congrats on your first blog. Writing is daunting at first, but with practice here on the blogs, it gets easier with time. Additional benefit to blogging here is that it gives you a chance to hone your writing skills as you get to work creating content for your site/s and business. Well done.
Greg
Thank you Greg, it is wonderful to learn new skills and a new way of communicating. Thank you for the encouragement.
Have a great day

Marelise, I am a newbie too and have learned so much in such a short amount of time. I wasnt a fan of writing either but I realize I have to do it. I wish you the best here at WA and I will be keeping up with you to see how you are doing.
Hi Gena
Apologies that I am only replying now. Yes we are learning plenty and I find it exciting. I will keep up with you too.
Thank you and may you have much success.
Marelise
Well done on TWO months, Marelise! You might consider video blogging, or Vlogging! That way, there is sort of eye contact!
Jeff
Ha Ha! Thank you Jeff! Writing is one thing but then we have to move out the comfort zone and confront the camera!
Have a great day

This is great. For not being much of a writer, this is very good. Keep up the good work. I am a little behind you, and writing has not been my thing either, but haven't really wrote anything big yet except my "About me". So my next lesson is writing my keyword post.
Pam
Hi Pam
Many thanks for your kind words.
Not to worry about been behind, I am behind somebody else. LOL
Let us not think that way but rather celebrate each step and keep moving forward. Wishing you much success on doing your keyword post.
Enjoy your day

Awesome Marelise, you are sure breaking through some of the barriers that you thought were in your way. In all reality, anybody can learn this and anyone can succeed at this. It comes down to the effort you are putting forth and remaining persistent.
Love the photo too! Keep us updated as you move forward through the training. :)
Many thanks Kyle, so much appreciated.
We have beautiful sunsets here.
Enjoy your day.
