Hey Marco, hope all is well. As others have said, it all depends on the affiliate program/network. If doesn't hurt to apply, and definitely don't take it personally if you get turned down for any reason. They just have parameters they've set based on previous experience with affiliates and you can reapply as your site grows.

Eventually (although it takes time) it switches and you start getting invited to join affiliate programs and networks, as well as free access to products so you can promote them.

I agree with Di, below and would add, that I tend to stick with evergreen products, which are time tested

Hi - many affiliate programs will inspect your site to ensure it has a good amount of relevant content (at least 10 posts) and daily traffic. Others, such as Amazon, will accept any website, but you are expected to make 3 sales within 180 days, which is not easy if you are not getting visitors.

I started from the beginning of my site, but I have noticed I was denied for quite a few CJ.com programs. Others have approved me without any questions asked though. I'd apply and then just reapply to the denials later.
