Do You Use WordPress?
There is something I have been wondering for a while. How many of you use WordPress to manage your own website or blog?
Do you do it just for fun or are you doing it to promote your project or business?
I Use WordPress
For the past while now I've been working hard at trying to create content on my own website which I manage with WordPress. So far it is has been fun learning the ins and outs of how to create a post, come up with content, create images and videos, and share it across social media.
I remember wanting to be a writer when I was very young but as an adult I never really thought I could "do" it. Now I'm just trying to do it anyway and I'm going with the flow. I'm sure that as I move forward I will learn how to write better content. Just as I can now easily sit down with Adrian and write a song in minutes after over ten years of songwriting - writing blog posts and creating content is likely to become a breeze too in the future if I stick to it.
Surrounding Yourself With Those Who Are Succeeding
I am fortunate to have people around me, especially Adrian, who are masters at it and there are so many more of you who I am so happy to just be around. I know that surrounding myself with successful people who are "doing" it is a great way to learn how it "is done".
marcelg
I am using my WordPress site for marcelg to share some of the older songs that we've written over the years. I'm simply recording them via video camera and then doing some basic editing and uploading to YouTube. From there I embed the video into a post on my WordPress site, share it to Google+, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest automatically and then do a secondary upload of the video to Facebook. I also share the video on Sound Cloud and Reverb Nation.
In the end I hope you are enjoying the videos and I really hope that when we finish our current album project of new songs, likely in 2016, that you will support us by purchasing a copy :)
2015/2016 Album Project
We have worked very hard in 2015 on this project and currently we have 5 songs completed and fully produced. The rest of the songs are all recorded and ready to send to the producer and it is just saving up the $$ that is the delay. So at the rate we are going at we are able to produce 1-2 songs per month. This album will be our first fully produced album we've made and we are very excited.
The previous 9 albums we've made over the past 10 years were lots of fun to make. We've had lots of learning opportunities in song writing, recording, editing, producing and creating videos. We've still got lots to learn but we are going to continue to learn by doing.
