My first Amazon sale!
Hi just had to share this - my first Amazon sale today for the grand commission of 40c, and of course nothing related to my niche. It is a soft toy Baby Blaze the Dragon - pretty cute nevertheless ...
It is a pity about Amazon's 24 hour cookie, I am sure I am losing sales as I am promoting products in the higher price bracket, which probably means people are coming back in a day or two once they have compared prices elsewhere, so I am on the search for other affiliate programs. I only learnt about this 24 hour cookie and what it really meant after spending hours and hours on my site, so this is the first thing I check for on new affiliate programs!

Thats so cute for your first and what a commission shame they didn't order 100 of them. I would love that Dragon.
Although it was only $0.40, this is just the start and the first sale is when it all becomes so real. I do agree that the 24 hour cookies at Amazon are not the best (we offer lifetime cookies at WA), but people do feel comfortable buying on Amazon and a lot of people spend a lot of money on Amazon.
Definitely good to have alternatives as well and not to rely fully on Amazon for your business, I tend to stay away from them in a lot of cases simply because of low commission % and short cookies.
