Are you interested in Wildlife and Conservation?
Hi everyone, I posted this as a question but it probably should be a blog post. Still getting the hang of all the various communication channels on this website :)
I find it quite difficult to leave relevant comments on niches I know nothing about, so hoping to find some members with common interests then we can make some meaningful comments on each other's sites.
I have just completed my blogsite (do people use this term??) and very much appreciate it if you can you give me some feedback and leave some comments if you can -http://wildcatcalendars.siterubix.com/ Please give me your page links so I can return the favour. Regards Mandy.

I just posted a comment on your site. I have a site called www.PanamaCalendars.com I am curious - do each of the calendars you have posted have an affiliate program? Right now, I only have one calendar which I produced. I'd like to add more variety and would be interested in what kind of fee would be fair for me to charge to post them on my web site.
Hi Debbie, yes some are affiliate and some I am just promoting for conservation. The Nat Geo and WWF ones are on Amazon, the illustration ones are on Cafe Press, Big Cat Rescue and Snow Leopard Trust are for conservation and the Wild Cat one is from etsy.com. I am only an affiliate on Amazon and Cafe Press and initial comms at 4% on approx $15 calendar is nothing. But this site is just to learn the principles and get traffic etc.
Thanks for the comment on my page!
If you go to zazzle.com and cafepress.com you can see all different types of calendars there and the pricing. If you have your own images you can open a shop there and have your images printed on tons of different products. You get a royalty for all sales which may be better than having to manufacture and deliver your own orders.
Hi me again, had a look at your site, lovely images. Maybe allow opening the calendar jgps to a larger image? but include a watermark so it cant be copied easily - they do this on Cafe Press - not sure how :) Mandy
Thanks. I made a Powerpoint of the images, so maybe I can figure out how to embed it on the site somehow. I am having a long learning curve of all the techie stuff involved in blogging!
Hi yes there are definitely ways to embed slideshows - see example on my page http://www.wildcatfamily.com/leopard-cat-lineage I created this in Google Drive and once finished I generated an html link to the sideshow and embedded that into my website. Otherwise most WP templates have a Gallery feature where you just upload the images individually and then it creates the slide show for you. Took me a while to figure how Gallery function works, but the WP Help is quite good. M.
Thanks for the tip - I'll try that.
