Help! My website died!

Well not really but I just updated to the latest version of wordpress and I can't seem to edit any of my posts. There is nothing there in the visual tab, I thought it was just the latest one I posted but it seems to be all of them. I do see the post in the text tab however and they are all on the website itself sooo...

Is there something new that I have to do with this version or is it just corrupted or something. I did do a backup before I upgraded but I would like that to be my last option.

Any Ideas?

Thanks for all the suggestions guys I sent a ticket to support and received a prompt response. It turned out to be a minor issue with cache or something.

I just had to clear my browser history, local dns cache and everything works fine now.

NemiraB have you covered in the worst case scenario

Mine updates automaticly, and so far no issues. I agree with many here that it for sure is a plugin problem. Not all plugins get updated to fit with the new versions of WP. Deactivate one and one until you see which one causes the problem, then see if you can live without it or find an other one that do the same for you. You can also contact the plugin-maker and ask what he intend to do about it.....

I think you have to keep updated version of WordPress please

Hi, I dont know if this will help, but i had the same problem... do you have tiny mce / wp edit both activated ? that seemed to be my issue, so I deactived them both, some said to ,keep WP edit but I ketp having issues with it, so I deactivated that one again and put back my tiny mce and so far so good. Tiny Mce is going away soon so ill have to figure something else out, but at least I can see the visual tab again :-)

One more thing, back up your site before you play with the plugins, just in case :-)

Best to always keep current with wordpress updates - must be a plugin issue for sure.

iew terrible, my plugins are not working anymore, I hate those updates, this is the second time I have to adjust my whole website, I wish you strength

Thanks Loes.

You can always do a rollback of the latest Wordpress version:
http://tbwhs.com/blog/wordpress-rollback/

Also, if you want to prevent the problem from happening again you can disable auto Wordpress updates:

Hope this helps :)
