One Week Down, Level One Complete!

I joined the Wealthy Affiliate family on September 27th, 2018. A few days later, I became a premium member. By the end of Level 1, I had my niche picked out and my website created. I want to share my journey with you.

How Did I Get Here?

I should start at the very beginning. I am only twenty-five years old, looking for a way to make a career I can take with me during a move. I was looking online, looking for ways to get money. I was researching one of my ideas when I came across a WA's page, explaining why they would not go the route I was thinking of taking. I read her article, and became interested in WA. I was skeptical at first. With no past knowledge of building a business online, I thought this was going to be a challenge. I did not have the confidence in myself to be able to do this, but I took the plunge anyways.

What Have I Learned Since Becoming a WA?

Since joining a week ago, I have learned this is a community of people working together to achieve their goals. Another lesson learned is I can do this. With the simple walk throughs of lessons; tasks to accomplish which were actually baby steps into thinking of a niche and building a website, it in reality was not as difficult as I originally thought. Within the first few lessons alone, I gained the confidence to know I actually can do this. It is more about helping people than just the reward of money. I am still learning, and have met some pretty great people who are willing to help along the way.

What Were the Most Difficult Things I Went Through So Far?

Of course, building confidence in myself to do this was one of the most difficult things I had to deal with so far since becoming a WA. Like I mentioned before, I had no background knowledge of building a business online. I did not know where to begin.

Not knowing where to begin brings me to my next difficult thing I had to deal with. It was thinking of a niche. I did not understand the meaning of a niche. The lesson on niches and what they are helped me to understand a little better. Picking my niche was helped by my cat Wolverine and talking with a friend. The friend helped me to understand what I niche is even better, which helped me to be confident in choosing my niche.

In Summary

I am glad I have chosen to become a WA. I have grown so much in just a short amount of time. I have met some pretty awesome people who I'm excited to work with towards our goals. I have gained confidence in building a business online. I am excited to be a WA, and I'm looking forward to growing even more, along with my business.
