I don't know the question

I'm Deborah and I hope this is the last time I will repeat these words.

I'm a single mom with a dead end job. Every month I have to pick and choose which bills to pay and which ones to not, due to insufficient finances. I thought online business was just what I was looking for to provide a good life for my kids and I. I wasn't expecting to get rich quick and I was expecting to work hard and sacrifice. I was also expecting to see a clearer path from where I am to where I want to be. It seems that many people are able to understand and apply the lessons here at WA. The problem with not understanding is that it makes it hard to formulate questions. I dont know exactly what to ask.

Many here have offered motivational speeches. Well meaning as thet are, its direction that I need. I know I can do it, the problem is I dont know how. If a pile of computer parts were on a table in front of me and a crowd was behind me shouting "you can do it" I would not be able to assemble the computer simply because of the encouragement. I would need instruction, direction, something I could understand.

I can't think of a single thing I have set out to do tghat I have succeeded at. I have a long history of failure. My pattern is to try with everything I have until I believe there's no point in continuing. I really wanted things to be different this time. I'm as hopeful and positive as I know how to be... and I'm still not succeeding.

We have communicated via PM, and i know you have communicated with Labman and others, so this is coming with sincere, good intentions. See if this resource will help you
- http://www.smartpassiveincome.com/how-to-launch-a-brand-new-website/

There are two other URL's I see below. Hope to hear back real soon. A one on one mentor is what you need. But I think a designated time is what you need even more. Hudson has offered a period of time. Have you asked Kyle or Carson to refer you?

Mamalama, only you can conquer this dragon of defeat.

Make three goals - post them. Put a time stamp on them. Complete them. Reward yourself. Always in threes.

Empathize with your situation. Seems motivational is not your need. But tonight I read this new blog by a member - http://hiddengreatness.com. More than inspiring, I think you will relate to his language. Read Carson's comment, a great comment.

Once again, hope this helps.^_~

Thank you NatureLynn for the "Like". Will put you on my list to check back on how you are doing. Hope the best. ^_~

Ok, understand where you are at, and your fears. If you would like I am prepared to mentor you for a period, no charge, to get you started on the road to your success. We can either do this here on the WA blog or through email, as I live in the Middle East. Let me know if this appeals and if so how you would like to make it happen,
Regards
Hudson.

I am grateful for the offer of help. Another person has also offered so I'm not quite sure how to proceed there. I've started 3 different times and am stuck and not progressing with 3 different sites. If you're interested, they are artsincolton.com craftswithjeans.com and powertothemommy.com

Hi there. I had a good look at all three sites. They are all a great start so give yourself a pat on the back - you have achieved!

Next step. Kyle always recommends that when we start we pick one site and make this our prime area for focus. So I would suggest that before you do anything else you need to decide which one you are going to focus on. If I recall the criteria are that it should be the one you are most interested in and as important, that you can write volumes about. The reason of course for picking one site and moving forward with it is that you can really focus and not be distracted by the others. If this appeals let me know your decision and we will go forward from there
Hudson.

I'm most interested in the dance site because that's the business I'm currently working. The problem is I have no idea what to write about. The classes are "recreational" in nature so serious dance topics won't appeal to the audience I currently have. As a rule, serious dancers stay away from recreational programs. Other things I can think of seem to stray away from the niche.

Hi there, Well many moons ago my wife, my children and I were ballroom dancers. I like your site. If the purpose is recreational then you might want to think about a series of blogs or posts as follows:
1. The health benefits for dancers, especially seniors
2. The social benefits of meeting people with same interests.
3. Introduce a newsletter or forum for your members
4. Let the members decide what they would like to see on your site
5. Expand from dancing to craft and project ideas which are initially linked to dance such as costume design.
Hope this list helps to begin with - if I can help with content reviews etc please don't hesitate to send them over.
Hudson

I've received conflicting advice as to whether or not writing about things generally related to my "niche" is a good idea. I think it is. Thanks for the suggestion.

I too have a similar issue with the time and money thing HOWEVER I signed up for WA a couple of years ago and was very overwhelmed with the information and knowledge, had a hard time focusing on the one niche that I really enjoyed. The technology totally overwhelmed me to the point I got frustrated with the information and then just went in circles - and resigned. That was a couple of years ago and I have been watching WA members suceed since I left years ago and decided to try it again. WA is overwhelming however this time around it took me three times through the training with pages of notes over three weekends (30 days) to find my niche, just one for now that I decided, with help from live chat and the community, to completely focus on. Other niche will come. After you find that once niche you enjoy reading about, researching, thinking about, finding out about I suggest you write a list of daily goals. It's OK not to finish your goals daily however you need to try too .... each day you spend 2 hours focusing on the the process you have been taught on here you will be able to apply the techinques and begin your career here. With that being said you can't put the cart in front of the horse and you will not make money the first month as a member. But you will have the ability too and as long as you focus and work on it when you have the time to focus it will fall into place for you. Please feel free to follow me so you can see my posts asking for assistance and perhaps you my questions and lessons learned will help you? Best to you and your success -

Hey Dembler, MikeyB goalman to the stars here lol, just one little note,"I suggest you write a list of daily goals. It's OK not to finish your goals daily however you need to try too" be careful with this ok, its ok not to complete your daily goals as long as you note that and move the goals to the next day. I am not splitting hairs here and please take no offence but goals are like greasy convicts, you let them slip away slightly and they may be gone forever. Get the goals in a diary and then move them if you dont complete.

Hi Deborah. Here is a link to an excellent online course, which is totally free and quite frankly, extraordinary. It shows you how to, step by step set up as an affiliate marketer. I am also at the beginning of my journey, so happy to help motivate you through. I reckon it's going to be a matter of persistence...

I think i feel what you are saying. Your financial position has a lot to do with it. What can I say, You can't do this for the money. Not when you're learning. Can't expect to give 2 months and expect any income, some people take an year to understand everything.

Everyone learns at their own pace. What everyone saying is true. If you stick at it long enough you'll see progress. If you can, do it. If you can't, then I say come back when you can. If paying the premium stops you from day to day life bills then, its not good.

However if you can compromise on something. Like if you drink coffee 4x a week or you smoke, or anything else like that, give up on it and try to stay premium. You will learn, it's just that it's going to take a bit longer for you.

End of the day, you gotta enjoy what you do, If you love learning about creating websites, adding content, writing content and actually doing it then I hope you stick at it as long as you can.

very well said, totally agree

Deborah, you just nailed down something important for me. I spend a ton of time here reading the posts. But the posts that mean the most to me are ones that contain instructions. I appreciate the motivators hearts and motives but I need nuts and bolts! The only thing I can tell ya' is to just go back and repeat the "Getting Started" courses and then "Bootcamp" until they start working for ya'. One thing I DO KNOW is that it DOES work and CONTENT IS KING! If I can help, just let me know!

My biggest problem is finding time in my day. Last week I had 2 hours free on one day and I wasn't able to accomplish anything on my site for feeling completely overwhelmed. There are only so many hours in a day. I cant afford to continue to pay the monthly fee with nothing extra coming in. Thanks. I'm sure there's a way, I just can't figure it out.

I have been here 8 months of hard work in the last 6 months of that I have been doing the bootcamp phases promoting WA and as of now showing enough income to pay for my membership and Jaaxy usage. All of this is working Monday through Thursday on my regular job 10 to 12 hours a day. Then i work on this for my future income and enjoy every minute of it. I do to know how much of the bootcamp you have done but it is very imperative to your training for learning how to create content and interact with perspective buyers. Please hang in there and good luck because it takes time to learn all of this it is just like going to college and learning so grab your books and lets all learn together.

Time is the thing I need most and have least. If I had time I believe that I'd be making more progress. If I saw progress I think I wouldn't be concerned about the monthly fee that I cant afford. I don't know how to balance it all.

Hang in there good things come to those that persist. God bless you

I want to contradict you, Deborah. You say that you haven't succeeded anything but that simply is not true. You do have a job. True that it is not the job of your dreams and doesn't pay the bills but you succeeded at getting that job. You are a mother and you are raising your child on your own. That is huge. You are doing the very best you can and you will do anything to make a better life for you and your child. That is why you are here at WA. You may feel completely lost, but you are here and you wrote this post. This post is your first question and the answer to the question, take it step by step. Go to the Level I certification course (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/online-entrepreneur-certification-getting-started-level-1) and read Lesson 1 very carefully. Follow every lesson and do not move on to the next lesson until you can check the box of every task at the end of the lesson. As you are going through the lessons, you will find something that does not make sense to you. The specific questions will come and you will write another blog asking for help. There will be numerous people that will help you.

But most of all. Stop being afraid. Stop being afraid of failure. The only way to conquer fear is to step toward it. Look it in the face and say to yourself, "I will make one small step to eradicate you!" And then, TAKE THAT STEP!

Good luck! I believe in you! :)

Regina

I think that getting by is not the same as succeeding. I'm doing my best but it's not what's needed. I've started the bootcamp and the regular certification courses. I've started 3 different sites. I've asked for help in the past but I haven't been able to understand the answers to most of my questions or how to apply the answers. I'm trying, I just don't really understand how any of what I'm doing is supposed to lead to a successful online business.

Deborah, you need a check up from the neck up I feel. You are stuck in a failure mentality and if you put that out there thats what you will get and that in turn will reinforce what you think. You need to somehow start succeeding at little things and start thinking that you are a good successful person/. Take my POWER goal course and set a plan, Lesson 1 would be very good for you.

YOU ARE BAING WAT TOO TOUGH ON YOURSELF
...and your computer analogy is off, if the parts were in front of me, i would read, i would you tube it and I would take baby steps and I would bloody build that computer.....Take my course.

I'm a realist. In my opinion optimism is dangerous and pessimism is stupid. If I were drowning all the positive thinking in the world wouldn't give me the ability to breathe water. I started your course recently. I'm trying to decide if I should focus exclusively on the goals course and pick one of my sites up after. Regarding the analogy, 100% encouragement and 0% instruction is what I was talking about: in relation to not having instruction that makes sense to me combined with so much encouragement that it's becoming discouraging. We don't all understand the same things in the same way.

I understand, maybe focus on goals first. It is Monday morning and I start my day with goal setting for the week, every week, it is essential to take those mammoth tasks and break them up into doable pieces.“People who are too optimistic seem annoying. This is an unfortunate misinterpretation of what an optimist really is.

Remember though....'An optimist is neither naive, nor blind to the facts, nor in denial of grim reality. An optimist believes in the optimal usage of all options available, no matter how limited. As such, an optimist always sees the big picture. How else to keep track of all that’s out there? An optimist is simply a proactive realist.

An idealist focuses only on the best aspects of all things (sometimes in detriment to reality); an optimist strives to find an effective solution. A pessimist sees limited or no choices in dark times; an optimist makes choices.

When bobbing for apples, an idealist endlessly reaches for the best apple, a pessimist settles for the first one within reach, while an optimist drains the barrel, fishes out all the apples and makes pie'

This was written by Nazarian Vera and I have always so agreed with this .
