Taking a Break?

Hello Wealthy Affiliates Family,

I've been rolling along at a decent clip and have gotten some good comments and a lot of help from everyone; and suddenly I have hit a brick wall. I am having a computer challenge; it quits when it wants, eats what I write, never to be found again, which is making it difficult to actually write. I will get a new one soon, but I can't do it right now.

What I'm doing right now is writing in between computer episodes because I really don't want to break off while I'm on a roll. I'm trying to keep up with the training (thank you, Kyle, and other trainers) as well as writing so I don't get too far behind and/or lose my momentum.

Another brick in the wall is my niche. I'm not sure which way to go from here. There are some

avenues I can explore, but I don't know which. "Mustangs" is a wide open area, as is breaking mustangs, but I want to get into the gear needed to "break" and train a mustang. I also want to talk more about their history. I have ideas, just not sure how to get them into my posts; what keywords to use, how to transition from my previous posts.

Now you see my dilemma and why I don't want to take a break right now. I hope this makes sense. This post is two fold, a small vent and a call for help. I hope it's okay to post this here on my blog; if not let me know. So, my Wealthy Affiliate family, Please, if you have any suggestions or assistance you can offer, I really would appreciate it. In the meantime, my computer is going out again-it's taking a break, so I have to finish this post in a hurry.

Thank you in advance.

Pat

Patricia, I know just how you feel "I write something and it turns blue and it's gone!" I can't afford a new computer yet!
I am impressed with your Blog and the way you write! I do especially like your symbolic red-brick fence!

Keep up the good work!
God Bless and Good Luck!

Thanks, Janice. Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but I had to wait for my computer to co-operate. Hang in there, maybe we will get our new one soon.

Thank you for the comments and the encouragement.

Pat

Hi Janice,

Thank you for your encouragement. I know about not being able to afford a new computer. I'm working on it though.

Apologies for taking so long to respond, but I have to work around the computer.

Good luck to you too. Just hang in there; and be patient; I firmly believe things will work themselves out.

Pat

Pat, you will emerge stronger because of this adversity. More power to you.

Edwin

Edwin,

Thanks for the encouragement.

Pat

Hi Pat. Have you written any product reviews on your site? Are you selling saddles etc., I always find the review pages a welcome break from having to write the more informative posts. I write 3 information blogs to each review. Jim

Hi Jim,

Okay, I'm not selling anything yet, I don't know if I missed that training or haven't gotten to it yet, but I don't know how to do that.
So, no, I have done no product reviews. I will check on the product reviews and see if that is an option. Thank you.

Pat,

Have you ever heard of chromebooks? They're very affordable and they are more than sufficient for all of your writing needs. I am writing my entire website on a $150 piece of equipment.

As far as your niche is concerned, I totally get it. I am feeling similarly about mine. However, I'm just going to keep writing about it, and doing the training, and I will leave the results to God.

I recently wrote a wa blog post about what not to do as a new wa member. In it, I said "Don't pitch your website based upon what it will be, but rather what it is right now." Well, to you I say something similar, but different: "Don't judge the merit of your ideas based upon what your website is right now, but what it will be!"

Don't give up on your vision. Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees.

~Tom

Hi Tim,

Yes, I have heard of Chromebook, but, I always wondered if they would be sufficient for what I wanted to do. You have answered that question for me. Thank you.

As for my website, thank you for your words of encouragement. I won't give up on my website or my goals. It might take a little more time but I will keep going.

Thank you again for your encouragement and advice.

Pat

No problem Pat. that's what we do here.

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your wonderful suggestion. I am now the proud new owner of a Chromebook. So far it is working great. At least it seems to be more reliable than the one I had. And yes, it was much less expensive than the one I was going to buy, so I could get it quicker.

Pat

Lol. I guess it's too late to give you my Amazon affiliate link. jk. I'm glad you like it!

Sorry, it may too late for this one, but give me your link anyway, in case my grandson or daughter want one.

Thanks,

Pat

I will pm it to you now, as you can't reply with links with parameters in them here.

Wish I could help, keep smiling...

Thanks, just by replying and making the offer helps. My Wealthy Affiliates friends keep me smiling.
