Choosing your niche!

Hey WA!

I'm new here and still trying to figure things out. Like most of you my first obstacle was choosing the right niche. The funny thing is that even before I got to that step, I already knew what it was going to be. I had a solid idea and was super excited about it. The problems started as soon as I created my blank website. I started brainstorming about what kind of content I'm going to have and how it's going to be organized, but I couldn't come up with a decent game plan. Part of it was due to the fact that I've never built a website before and another part due to me overestimating my knowledge/skills at this time (hopefully that'll change soon). I decided to change my approach. I scrapped the whole idea and came up with another niche. After playing around with the some drafts I, once again, decided that it just wash't going to happen. I moved on. Right now I have a couple of things on my mind and hopefully over the course of the next couple of days I can give them a chance and try to build something around them, but for now they're just ideas.

Now I'm gonna get back to the reason why I decided to create this post in the first place. Don't let yourself get stuck. If you have a game plan but you realize that you are probably trying to take on more than you can handle, then pause, reevaluate, try a different approach. If you have an idea of a niche but you can't come up with QUALITY content, or you don't think you can build something around your idea, then maybe that niche is not for you. My point is don't let yourself get stuck on such a simple step as creating/choosing a niche. Find something you are comfortable with, something where you can find QUALITY content, something that makes sense to you, and something you can put down on paper and make aesthetically pleasing. If you can't, scrap the idea and try something different.

That's it. Don't know if any of this makes sense but that's where I'm at right now. You try, you fail, you try again. Eventually you are bound to succeed. You just have to keep trying
