The fix was even more boring:
- fix the speed
- write better words
- match each page to what people actually search
- earn a few honest links
- and repeat until the spider likes you again
Weeks of it. Quiet, unglamorous, "why is my bar not moving yet" weeks.
And then it moved. Page five → four → three → one.
Turns out Google doesn't want shortcuts.
It wants a website that earns its place and it forgives the ones that put in the work.
