I am sure there are many more, but wanted to share this quick overview of 5 habits and beliefs that may help to keep you on track.
1) Know your finances - get clear about your income / outgoing (and debt - do not ignore it.) Then you can make a plan for savings. Do not put your head in the sand or say to yourself, 'I don't need to know about money - that's boring'
2) You are your own Knight in Shining Armour - no-one can give you what you need but you. Talk to yourself, 'What do I need right now?' Be kind to yourself, but accountable.

3) Don't ask the universe to provide - postiive thinking is crucial, but thinking without goals and planning is useless.
4) Be consistent - Things that you do day in, day out bring success.
5) Write down your goals - so important to put pen to paper (or on ipad, Evernote etc) as it helps you be clear about what you are creating.
