Affiliate Marketing Tips for Biginners
Sharing my experience as a beginner
I am sure, most beginners in WA have gone through the experience of having mixed feelings like me. excitement, overwhelmed and racing with the clock to make milestones, see an encouraging results and gain some low hanging fruits is just to name some.
This is the positive side, but the downside involves some doubtful thoughts about the capacity to write compelling content, time required for Google to rank my site, what about traffic, conversion rate, how long I need to see my first profit and how much I will make after 6 months and even first year.
All these legitimate questions are coming across from time to time, however, to keep myself on track I have decided to put pure focus on learning, completing WA courses, building a professional and engaging site and keep adding valuable content with a hope that results will follow.
Tips for beginners
As a new affiliate marketer, I thought to share with my colleagues the following affiliate marketing tips for beginners which will hopfuly help them to become a pro in the field. These tips gathered mainly from WA learning materials and other readings.
Know your audience
It goes without saying, first thing is to research and define your niche, know your audience to promote and market products that satisfy their needs. Nothing can engage and attract visitors more than educating them about products they love by reviews or any other relevant content, the more relevant the content is the more engaged audience will get.
Build The Trust
It is advisable to only promote quality products that you believe in and worth your recommendation and then strive to provide genuine content. This will build the trust based relationship with audience. Trust will lead to more traffic through recommendation which enhance revenue generation.
Provide captivating content
Content..Content and Content. Keeping the content compelling and up to date will engage your site visitors, increase traffic and hopefully conversion rate. If you are promoting physical products, provide detailed reviews, Guides and how to tips about it. When visitors sense the value and quality in your content they will be motivated to take purchase action through your page.
Declare Affiliate Relationships
As mentioned earlier, building trust with your visitors is essential success factor. Being honest and open to disclose the affiliate relationship will be valued by visitors and they will use your referral links instead of going direct to the vendor site. When the site grows and make profit you can increase conversion rate by offering incentives for using your link, the direct added value here is that you will have loyal customers through this incentive program.
Physical vs Digital products
Although promoting digital products might capture the attention of affiliate marketers due to the fact that it is instantly accessed by customer and offer higher commission, I personally recommend following your passion in the first place and then money will follow. Passion will give you the necessary ammunition to overcome setbacks and fuel your energy reservoir to spend long hours on your work.
Which affiliate program to join?
There is abundance of affiliate programs in the global market, it varies based on products & service and payment structures. Depending on the niche, you need to study them thoroughly until you reach the best ones that suits you. Also, you don’t have to aim only for big affiliate networks you may also choose your favorite vendor if they are offering an affiliate program.
Be patient
It is a slow process, but according to industry experts and senior affiliate marketers it is fruitful one in the long run. Hence, all you need is to gear up and be ready with great deal of commitment to make it happen and write your success story like hundreds of WA members.
I do hope that you find this post of value to you, please feel free to add your comments / feedback
