The First One of 300

One week of the new year 2020 is already behind us. What lies in store for the next 51 weeks? (yes, I know it's a leap year so we'll enjoy an extra day in February).

During last week, there was a lot of talk on social media and the press and everywhere I went around my town of resolutions for the New Year;

• lose 10 pounds to have improved body weight and image
• go to the gym more often for regular exercise
• cut down on the number of cigarettes smoked per day or even stop smoking completely by a certain date
• have a healthy diet
• visit parents frequently
• etc, etc.

Here at WA, we were no different.

Many of us were motivated to aim to have a sizeable number of referrals ... 300 referrals to be exact, so we can go to the annual WA conference in Las Vegas to mingle with the great and the good of WA. Wow, what a time that will be! I'm excited already!

The one factor that struck me in all the above goals for 2020 was a lot of focus on the end result.

If someone wants to lose 10 pounds of body weight, the first step should be to concentrate on losing the first pound, right? To lose 1 pound to start with.

Similarly for me and my target of 300 referrals. The first step is for me to get 1 referral. Then I should replicate my strategy and efforts thereafter.

I've now been in WA for just over two months. I've completed the cretification training as well as the bootcamp training and applied the lessons as I went along.

Yet I still don't have any referrals. However, I won't be defeated at this early stage. It's time to regroup and to ask for concerted help from those who have already successfully achieved what I'm working towards.

I know goals are reached when available help and support is tapped into.

What tips do you have to realize the goal of finding 300 referrals?
