Finish what you start

I don't know about you but I sometimes have a problem starting a lot of things, and take a long time coming back to finish them! Especially when it comes to new ideas that I have when it comes to Affiliate Marketing!

It usually goes like this.

An amazing idea comes to you, whether it be while your in the shower, on a walk, or even in the middle of a dead sleep!

This was certainly the case for me when I came up with an idea to start my own website dedicated to helping other Affiliate Marketers become better at the basics! Or even help someone with no experience at all, start the process of becoming an Affiliate Marketer!

I started the website and even added my first page to the site but lost my determination because so many other ideas flooded my mind and I couldn't help but move on to the "new ideas"!

The website sat there for days in my list of websites and it wasn't until recently I got the determination back!

I have recently begun a new venture going back and "Finishing what I started"!

Once I went back and began the process of completing, or at least (completing for now) what I had started before, nall the ideas came flooding back.

That website that had come to me in a dead sleep I now a working site with a purpose and a goal. That goal being to help others become great at the basics.

The site is still a work in progress but it is definitely alive and running!

I encourage you all to dive into "Finishing what you started"!

Great post Luke , ya this is really good to see that you have realized your flows and working towards avoiding them. thats the only way to success my brother, always finish what you have started.

Great post, Luke. I'm so so so bad wanting to start another site, but I know my 1st site isn't ready to stand on her own yet. So, I'm just writing all my thoughts down on paper, till I'm really ready. I will build out my 1st site till she's good and strong enough to carry herself for a little bit, then, I will build my 2nd site. LOL
Someone told me to practice patience. I'm trying. :)

Hey Wendy! So glad you commented here today! Patience can be an awesome thing! The patience to really get something perfect before starting can be a good and bad thing. Like my post on the website thewealthyaffliliatemarketer.com about getting started, it talks about how getting started is the hardest thing to do. Now getting started for some people might mean getting started by jotting down the ideas. For me I had the ideas and notes ready to go and I got started with my website! I built it and then just moved on to other thIngs and other ideas. I started it but left it there to sit. I never gained any traction with the site until I decide to go back and finish. Or at least continue what I started! I hope that you do build your first site soon and continue to give it the attention it needs to flourish! Let me know when it’s up and running and I would love to look at it for you.

Thanks

Luke Shelby

Hi Luke. I do have my 1st site up and running. I just don't think it's ready for me to go to bigger and better things just yet. Maybe it's just me being afraid to try another site. I'm not really sure. I'd love for you to take a look at my site. I'll PM you the URL. Any feedback would be appreciated.

that is pretty cool Luke and the makings of a very good and helpful site.Best wishes

Thank you so much!

Your post will resonate with many of us. I definitely fall into this category and like you I have begun to go back to what I have started and complete or keep the process going.

Having new ideas is great, we just have to be careful not to 'throw away the old for the new.' Also, we can keep an idea journal and when we get to a level of success with one idea then we can work on a new one.

We must harness our energy, resources, and focus in order to have the level of success that we want. In essence, have a single focus and stay focused.

I agree! I am definitely going to adopt the "idea journal"! Typically I just take out my phone and make a few quick notes but I think the journal will work a lot better! And a great resource once t becomes full! Thanks for your comment!
