And The Journey Begins
I think the first time I heard about affiliate marketing was back 2003. The concept sounded interesting but at that time I thought that all the good niches were taken so I never did anything about the newfound knowledge. This reminds me of the story where the US Patent Office thought that it was time to shut it down because "everything was invented".
Here I am, more than a decade later setting out on a journey that could have began a long time ago. This is actually more of a side project for me. I co-own and operate a marketing company that builds websites, designs brands, and provides printing solutions. The company makes decent money and affords me a fairly comfortable lifestyle. My main interest here is about building traffic to my current website and to other spin-off services that we are creating. But while I'm doing the learning, I figured it won't hurt to give the affiliate marketing a try at the same time to see what happens.
Like all journeys, this one begins with the first step.
