TIME : It's Actually Focus & Persistence.
Time, we don't ever seem to have enough of it. At least, that is the mentality and justification we often use for not achieving our goals.
"I couldn't sign up to that business, attend that class because of (insert other task here be it kids, work,family etc) and I just didn't have the time to do both ".
Sound familiar?
I know I often thought like that and wondered how people managed to be successful, how do they may to do find the time to have second jobs or a part time business on the side?
So I researched and researched. I read articles, e-books and listened to podcasts.
I realised something very important through that process and it has driven me ever since and that is :
Its not that we do not have enough TIME ,it's that we do not have enough FOCUS.
Everybody in the world has the same overall amount of time to utilise per day, so what sets the average struggling Joe or Jane apart from the people who make millions of even hundreds of thousands?
It's focus.
It's the daily things they do that ensure they reach their goals.
" I don't have time" is not a phrase in their vocabulary, instead they say " I will make time".
And they follow that focus, focus on goals and tasks to reach goals, with persistence. They don't just make time once every so often.
They make time daily and are persistent in having the mindset of saying " I will make time by focusing on my goals ".
Break that down, it's VERY simple. What is important to you? If it is beers on a Friday night with the boys or a weekly lunch catch up with your girlfriends or even just sitting down to watch a TV show. You always have time for that right? And if you don't you make time right?
HOW?
By focusing on this task and making sure you are persistent in reaching it.
Have a think about this and begin to notice these patterns in your life, its very obvious that a lack of time is not what is limiting you.
