The Importance Of Starting AND Continuing The Passive Income Journey

I remember the day I got a paper route. $75 per week at age 13. Could not beat it.
I remember the day when I took over my brother's route and doubled my income.
I remember my first tax client at age 16, my mom's Avon lady. Recurring income every year.
I remember the day I was introduced to passive income and my whole world changed. Ever since that day, I have been on the journey to get and increase my passive income.
It was a bit like getting on a Ferris wheel. If you want to ride it, you've got to get on...and STAY on!
The first time I rode a ferris wheel, I felt robbed. Waited in line over 1/2 an hour for a 2 minute ride. This is like many people's experience with passive income. It takes a long time for them to get started, but they don't stay long.
They allow someone to squash their dreams or they just don't believe in themselves.
Such was my career with network marketing. I had no trouble jumping on, but I never lasted long. Then, I had a mentor that gave me a great reason to hang on. He was going to get me speaking gigs with the company, so I had to stay in. Plus, I actually had to be active, which meant ACTION!

So, I set myself a goal. I said for one year, I will participate and qualify for every contest the company would offer. If they say sponsor 5 people in 30 days to get a trophy, I did it. I successfully did that for one year and ended up with a team of 500 people and a comma check that lasted 6 years.
But, I moved on to my next venture, which was online income. Been there ever since.
To start something, one has to just nake a decision.
To continue with something, one has to make a committment.
My committment was to myself and my family. Constant income no matter what the circumstances.
The importanace never really hits home until you hit a circumstance though.
For me, that was September 11, 2017 when my wife was diagnosed with ALS, Lou Gehrigs disease. That was my circumstance. Now I can be 100% carer for her and not worry about the income too much.
Yes, I am still adding to it as alternative treatments are not cheap. However, the foundation is there and it is easy to build upon it.
Don't wait to build that foundation or, better yet, don't wait till you're thirsty to dig your well.
Get on and stay on and your daily action will keep your Ferris wheel turning and churning out income for you and your family.
Cheers
Steve
