How Am I Doing So Far?

Ever since I can remember, I've been a self-taught person. I taught myself how to do taxes (at age 14 - some help from my dad) , I taught myself computers (started on an IBM XT and a compaq luggable!), taught myself how to build a website (lots of ugly ones!), and many other things.

I was a bit of a frugal person, not wanting to put out dollars to learn things as I was paying to attend personal development seminars and getting mentored in business. I figured I could learn the "how-to's" on my own.

It's worked for many things, most notable is my tax business that generates not only tax income, but a substantial passive income stream as well. However, it was not working very good for this affiliate marketing thing.

While I have many affiliates for my tax programs, I could never break this system of building lists and selling to lists, clickbank, etc on my own. So, I went looking and came accross Wealthy Affiliate. Started that up in July 2017. But, my self diagnosed ADD got me looking at other courses at the same time. Good idea? Yes and no.

It gave me some contrast and I weeded out alot of not so good courses and some real gargbage ones. I will refrain from mentioning the 6 or so that I looked at.

Then, back to WA! Time to dig in and get going on some education. At this point I had to be humble enough to forget all the junk in my brain and pretend that I was brand new. This was so I did not gloss over the education thinking that I knew it all already - a dangerous thing to do.

What I found is that I did not know it all, I missed fundamental steps, and I could become part of a cool community at WA. I have close to 100 different websites that do various things, but I decided to use WA to focus in on my love of amusement parks and travel (the pic is from Fiji) and generate another couple of passive income streams.

So, bottom line - How am I doing - AWESOME!

Getting more into the community everyday and seeing lots of positive people that I can network with and help them get to new levels in their businesses.
