Perhaps I am cheating a little, not really sharing a blog. You'll see why soon though, I think it's worth it! Like the subject line says This Is Amazing! How Did They Do It?

Recognise These Characters?

Yip, you got it. The Wizard of Oz!

Why So Cryptic?

No, no, not cryptic at all. This is literally about The Wizard of Oz and something amazing which has been done online. Not only is it amazing, I really, really would love to know how they did it.

What Is She On About Today?

Please follow these directions and you will soon see:

1. Go to Google

2. Type in Wizard of Oz

3. Click on the Red Slippers

4. Click on the Tornado

I have no doubt that you will love what you see! I think it's awesome!

How Did They Do It?

Do you agree this is amazing? Does anyone in our amazing WA community know how this is done?

Go on, share your thoughts and experience, would love to hear from you.

Blessings as always

PS I found this through a post I saw on Facebook - not my discovery :-)

I would have though slide by slide as they do in film we are already able to rotate pictures the trick is to amalgamate all the slides and then animate pretty neat!!! it is available software that has been in hand for ages to them. Which they have perfected to a fine art!. through development. Think of all the animated cartoons and films, so realistic and they don't have to pay no physical actors either ;)

I clicked on the shoes and the website looked so 1939.
Cool graphics and animations by Google.
Thank you for sharing this information, I would never have known it was possible to rotate a website.

Hi Ahimbe
Thank you for taking the time to have a look & let me know your thoughts too. Very cool, I agree.

That was amazing and clever.

Now, I need to go to my eye doctor.

Hahaha, Eric!
That is exactly how I felt the first time I saw it! I recently had eye surgery so really had my reservations at first :-)
Thank you for stopping to read, taking the time to Google and give me feedback, really appreciated.

This has always been one of my favorite movies, maybe because I live in Kansas.
Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Hi Lovely KyleAnn
So glad you enjoyed it.
I too love the movie - such an encouraging story for all of us.

It looks like Google is using a combination of an HTML5, CSS3 and javascript to create this animation - possibly Flash too. There are some css properties that can rotate a webpage.

I'm a fan of some of their animations and doodles too, and you can still find and go back to at any time, Like the Roswell anniversary (https://www.google.com/doodles/roswells-66th-anniversary), or the Pony Express (https://www.google.com/doodles/155th-anniversary-of-the-pony-express).

Thanks for the post, Louise 👍
