How to stay energized!
I've been working on producing content for my blog the last few days and at my current occupation I work anywhere from 45 to 55 hours a week. So, as I'm sure that most of you know, working long hours at a job and trying to create valuable content for your guests can get very exhausting.
I started to notice that I started to lose interest on working on my blog and my creativity levels started to dwindle. I was thinking back in my younger years, how was it that I could keep up a reckless pace of doing different activities for 17 hours a day and exhaustion didn't get to me.
Back then there was a few things that I did which I believe kept me full of energy. And here they are.
- Exercise - I did a lot of running and cycling and you would think that would sap energy from you. Although it is quite the opposite.
- Meditation - Doing this during the early morning hours helped a lot. It actually helped with creativity. And some great ideas came from meditation
- Eating a lot of fresh vegetables and juicing. Heavy foods like the type that I grew up on in Hawaii would make a person feel like a slug by the end of the day. Veggies gives you energy from sunrise to sunset.
- Drink lots of water and stay away from caffeinated and sugary drinks. You will get a false sense of energy for a little while before crashing.
- Always tried to read and listen to something positive and motivational. It keeps your head clear and more receptive to ideas.
That was back in my younger days and that was the regime that I would follow daily. I guess as time has passed I haven't kept up and now I'm reaping the results of not doing the right habits to keep me energized.
If you are currently having energy loss I suggest that you try a few of these habits at least for a month. It takes a little while for the habit to take root. Once you have that habit formed, you will be surprised at how much farther you can go.
Also, I myself will be doing these to make sure that my guests that follow my blog get awesome content, and I have the energy and creativity to produce them.
Take care my friend and happy blogging!
Louis

Thanks, Louis for sharing these vital tips.
I always focus on a good diet, good rest and exercise for maintaining a healthy balance.
I find this helps with creating new ideas and strength to my day.
All the best and keep up the good progress.
Darren :)
Great information Louis. It's never easy when you work long hours, but keeping healthy and hydrated certainly helps. Jim
Hi Louis, I also began loosing focus and energy until I started listening to meditation daily to get more ideas and yes it works, sometimes I just play and sing out loud with "old jams", somehow they do the trick for me. Yes, I like my water always, handy by my side. I am lazy bugger, I do not like exercising but I do walk in the mornings to clear my head. Thank you for the post.
Thanks for the insights. I've been struggling too. In my younger days, I could go for 16 hours a day and occasionally spent 48 hours at work. Now, at age 69, I need to switch tasks and take my time. For example, two hours here and I need to do something else.
