The bread to spread your butter on.
All the technical details aside, not giving SEOs a second thought, not worrying about if we picked the right niche, or just how catchy our site name is, I ask of you to write fifty well connected words. I know that fifty words does not an article make, do it anyway, get into the habit of at least those fifty words. Grammar be damn. Spelling be damn. Just two things matter; that it makes sense to you and that one word fits well with the one coming after it.
I'll tell you why, it is exactly in this habit of your fifty words where the meat of your site is going to live, remember that Google and friends do not like repeated, duplicated content. What will make your site standout is its originality, the new material. This new material is your bread and butter, and you going to have to do it every single day in order to have the bread to spread your butter on.
Get in the habit, no matter how rusty you are to munch out this fifty words, revise them, repeatedly. You need not publish them, you need not show anyone, just type them. Go over them several times, read them out loud till you are happy with them, then do it again the next day.
Fifty words will quickly grow into one hundred. Eventually you'll reach the three hundred fifty word mark, and the grammar and spelling will fall into place by themselves. Here is your article, or your opinion piece. Here is not only your bread and butter, but the vacations with the kids, that new car you've been eyeing, the house with the extra room you need, and all those other things we all want.
The greater proficiency you have with your language, the greater certainty of your success. "Writing is not unlike carpentry" I once heard somebody say. Not much talent is needed, only lots of practice. You don't need to be gifted to write an article or an opinion, all you need is clarity.
Write your fifty words, for you and yours.
Oscar.

Great advice, Oscar. Just be sure you are writing for your visitor original, relevant articles that build your site as a place they want to return to. ^_~
Your words flow well, think more than you realize.
Thank you, I didn't notice.
