BadAss Cold
Hello, all, I have been under the weather for about a week now. I have what they call In Nashville, Tennessee, The Tennessee Crud; translated by Eddy with a y as a BadAss Cold. I would not wish it on my worst enemy.
It starts out with a slight cough and gets progressively worse. My chest and sinuses are full of Crud and it makes you cough, cough and cough; then you cough some more. Thankfully I have no temp. My Dr. always prescribes the same for each cold Mucus-ex and Clairintine. When I talk it sounds like I'm in a barrel and I can't seem to clear my throat.
One thing for sure, "This Too Shall Pass" if I don't pass first:-)
If you have a spiritual bone in you, please pray.
Of much more importance, My youngest daughter(Carmen); mid-40s is paraplegic and as I type, she is in surgery, having metal braces installed into her back to stabilize and straighten her spine. She had braces but the "a Dr." thought they should be removed - wrong! She is a very strong-willed, spiritual lady and we think she will be much better once the year long healing takes place. . . Pray for her.
I'll be back soon and as sassy as ever. Rock On!

All the best to you and your daughter. If you haven't heard or tried yet, check out EFT. I have a cold and did it last night. I feel a little better. Give it a try ;-)
Hey Luther, prayers on the way. I am sure she will be fine. We will all pull for her.
As far as your Crud goes, the home remedies are always better. Home made chicken soup and several ounces of a good bourbon, a bit of warm water and lemon. Good heavy dose of Vitamin C and zinc is also good. Best of luck with the sniffles...Dick
Thanks, Dick, Most anything will help. I will surely take your advice about the home remedies. I feel better already:-)
Best to you, Friend.
P.S. I'll check with some of my Baptist friends about some bourbon:-), I can handle everything else.
Wishing you fast recovery from your cold,Have you tried drinking tea with fresh crushed ginger and honey?
